8 T& m/ ~. X* H5 z- submit information for community news 0 s. }, y. D4 ~
- provide volunteers to update membership database
! c8 n4 Y4 C. L$ Q* _& [, N: }' ?- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
+ ^8 J, e! |' B- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties' G# Y. ?* J( G, M' {
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
3 `, H( _: E0 M# v: j- provide volunteers for various programs 2 b1 S( m% t( j3 W( e
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
8 `$ X) V1 @" ?& ^8 ~- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation: [' {3 C( g; P, r) b, L
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities- F6 a3 ` s1 R3 g5 \% V
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
& Q1 J; H1 }$ W& ?1 n- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
" a! A s$ {7 z, z9 c- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
9 E) I9 i6 F" ]1 {( u- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed3 K( f8 X I5 ]) H% r/ a+ K" }
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)+ \2 w8 ]" d8 |0 V K
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ! x2 w8 k8 f# C5 K8 \
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual & ?4 ?( {# O' {% t* q/ m+ n o
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
. G4 @2 I. _3 n; }* `- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 2 u2 S5 L7 v; E( ~8 [* H
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

Qualifications
4 m# O5 w- u' W7 X6 U: O- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education6 C% Z2 }: i' z4 ?7 j. [. I
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills% C0 V& F5 \- t5 M2 N& W& X% P
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services& y: Y( H8 z5 F+ j; A
- leadership skills
, \' ~; U/ P& U: }4 ?% x- management and supervision skills
$ {7 n9 e' z: ]0 [0 j5 \- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
