- submit information for community news

9 k$ q5 i( X4 V/ b: M. ^ G- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers) n% T8 d* K4 E
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
% Y' t+ y1 q! x. x$ @0 s Z. Q' ~' r- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties; A8 Y e4 e2 \, Y2 ^
- provide volunteers for various programs 8 u5 l0 J; g1 z2 {# s
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
! E1 H8 Q! {$ E, {1 b- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation- N) D" b: Q* R+ r2 V' V
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities# m" C0 n3 Q" E( ?8 {0 Z6 B
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
1 N! B* V) F8 Y* f- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports6 k" x2 @, e1 h. u
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed4 S; W, j* r+ Z% A
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed+ j' C+ e% a# z8 u% i
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)/ {& b1 }& m. I' y
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events 2 I1 l4 F# j. {2 ]; {/ c }
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
4 L0 l6 F( }# w2 E1 {" j0 a- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre6 H* D8 U- Z5 }6 [9 u: n! _

Qualifications5 j% }# q2 ?: ?# Z! f
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
4 A1 c' m9 V" m; [5 j- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
/ B/ X# c; `2 n3 M- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services% g% h4 L2 p8 S5 V
- leadership skills7 V" ?' Y4 H3 X* m! V
- management and supervision skills
* j; `" J# e2 W5 \- q- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills- u+ W# j8 s- k" @
