• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• provide opportunities for staff development and growth

• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends) z8 H% N: e- ?6 [3 @* [
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities. O5 G4 i; z# j7 G
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
3 O1 k% r3 J N1 _2 S/ U, n+ g9 S• communicate the value of the organization to the public

' x, r: m, [6 Q+ B/ f• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
; J1 W; J) B+ G6 I' K/ L• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups( d& R& G# D t$ Z6 {4 S
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
& W; f' t0 F8 o! \* N• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

- University degree in a related field; : k1 e$ X, v2 K4 t. K% X( E
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;) k4 }- Z; o# k" e3 s* n# {
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; " d* R% T5 ]1 X# ^. n
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 3 \0 N3 F3 D+ V, w
+ P$ Y% m+ J/ s; s' p1 M" `Salary
! U- d9 ], V& B) a( S+ `- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 1 p, \4 U, X% ?3 r, a
