•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
2 h1 V& R" {  P% v" v•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals" a: Q. B0 A$ c' b) z, b- W
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board( C3 o5 r4 T, m1 D5 w
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

! W  x' j0 {# s6 U•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

  D$ U+ ~. I  U; L/ P4 |1 X•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff! q6 u/ u, ]: t$ z$ R+ Y
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers1 t1 m, H5 i# p2 z. o3 |6 Y
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
8 T7 @0 k& k; L: d6 R•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators; p' ], x3 M+ f5 |8 N
•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
* _! v. V. |" x•        meet with staff on regular basis
7 b$ L: w4 F0 u1 J( W3 \3 c& y5 b•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff; r2 l7 m# c6 k" t& g; T

Programs/Services
; K6 o: _" k+ p( B, N$ G, |•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
, d- U6 z7 _' O$ F•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
# |  g3 ~. }2 }" y4 ]•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders2 M$ ?3 F' n; ?1 W% F4 ]* W
•        set program priorities and directions
5 W5 j4 n* e6 D$ \•        identify community and user needs and trends* n# e6 M7 y) W7 [
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends) z8 H% N: e- ?6 [3 @* [
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research

•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required

8 H  A" b" R9 C•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others- O# _& h2 e- a: Z5 Q  ^

External Relations: q( i+ @+ w1 |* a" j0 D
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities. O5 G4 i; z# j7 G
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
3 O1 k% r3 J  N1 _2 S/ U, n+ g9 S•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
. d0 d; [/ X: b) h4 A# R•        identify community needs and trends
' x, r: m, [6 Q+ B/ f•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
; J1 W; J) B+ G6 I' K/ L•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups( d& R& G# D  t$ Z6 {4 S
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
& W; f' t0 F8 o! \* N•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
+ M+ X0 D& K' T, Z' \) f6 u) Z: k
+ g8 b  I1 L, J( e5 A% n1 i+ oQualifications) E. r& k2 S! n# ?$ C2 Q
-        University degree in a related field; : k1 e$ X, v2 K4 t. K% X( E
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;) k4 }- Z; o# k" e3 s* n# {
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; " d* R% T5 ]1 X# ^. n
-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 3 \0 N3 F3 D+ V, w

+ P$ Y% m+ J/ s; s' p1 M" `Salary
! U- d9 ], V& B) a( S+ `-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 1 p, \4 U, X% ?3 r, a
8 `" a, G, G- c* _. G8 U

-        Security check ( at the expense of employee) and child welfare check
