• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends& C+ l x/ R: o* {3 b! e: n3 d+ V
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends# a8 Q7 ~7 O+ b2 X( `
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

7 I4 j/ D8 b+ y2 o" q• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• communicate the value of the organization to the public

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
! J+ E1 M3 \8 P1 C• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
$ H7 T5 N& p2 n( v0 ~$ o• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems." c* F6 m- c2 ?' J
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications
9 D. R9 p4 T% n- E/ L& n2 T& y' G- University degree in a related field; + _7 {: J M8 f7 C9 A* v) D9 i8 k1 _
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
& E2 [5 e! S+ Q; M) H- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
$ e) A1 c% a. O+ Q0 ~% |9 {& Q% P- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
