• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

Programs/Services

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
1 ^0 C9 G5 h% D. Y• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends

• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• communicate the value of the organization to the public+ a0 T, m7 Y; U: I
• identify community needs and trends
3 j! a& w. B! P2 S• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
R' h6 G0 V% S( j+ B• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
" y. J/ e6 l1 H/ g3 p• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

& q/ n8 H0 m" y! r" [Qualifications8 q9 b! i8 m$ M* q4 t9 R
- University degree in a related field; 9 l6 v8 W* ^6 {
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;0 x' O) m9 N: _1 \& G x5 m
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
/ L5 | T( q+ @" o* [ R- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

2 t+ `9 _8 O o4 v6 N3 q- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
