FUNCTIONS:

As the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes:

· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.

% }9 `3 ]6 \* h+ k( u6 t+ ^7 N· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.

· Managing a group of professional and administrative staff, in completing ongoing corporate accounting functions.

· Performing the regular and customary managerial functions including decisions respecting staff hire/promotion, work assignment, performance appraisal, discipline, and leave/overtime authorization.& N2 I7 A/ }5 T

JOB REQUIREMENTS:& I9 B8 r/ S4 e, ~

· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.9 q: h, ?, ^/ x4 J
5 U+ K5 M2 }" O7 w· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.
