( B, W6 ?6 O; X# {7 U Y$ Q8 qAs the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. · Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.8 t* u1 d6 [% L+ i: K: I

· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.

· Administration of the financial accounting module of the financial information system.

· Managing a group of professional and administrative staff, in completing ongoing corporate accounting functions.

· Performing the regular and customary managerial functions including decisions respecting staff hire/promotion, work assignment, performance appraisal, discipline, and leave/overtime authorization.* z: o% H6 b6 {' r

JOB REQUIREMENTS:' r' w8 }& P! l5 C: q
5 H$ K+ D7 I# A W· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.6 a, M; d( A; _# t! n4 l

· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.0 `8 _* n/ [( O i- ]9 {
- i% z1 ^; f9 p# m& Y8 r( N3 J· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous.

· Experience in preparing complex, consolidated financial statements for audit.
