烤蛋糕
INGREDIENTS:

• 1 cup sugar
: L8 X: J$ v4 M: D• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (if you like the flavor, otherwise, none)

• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 0 Y/ A: a' U5 o7 d
• 4 eggs, well beaten

PREPARATION:
9 Z* W: ]0 q7 Q: }Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. $ u; Q- F4 _# R# K
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. # u1 o3 v( G U; i: P
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.; {3 f' a E6 E4 z# b3 n/ e" O3 O( M

这是yellow cake,我最喜欢的,又简单。ingredients 我一般比较严格执行,否则变味,但是我通常要把糖的用量减至3/4到2/3,洋人用糖量太大,太甜了。但如果你认为cake mix的甜度适合你的口味,就用上述的量。
7 m* l5 y4 p. z0 n; Z4 @beating,要用mixer, 一般的$10左右的hand mixer 就可以。烤蛋糕,面包,或做土豆泥等都用得上。

检查是否烤熟的办法: 用牙签插一下cake中间,若没有什么粘在牙签上就熟了。 |
