Chinese New Year celebration in Chinatown this Saturday

The Lunar New Year Firecracker Parade, hosted by the Chinatown and Little Italy Business Association, takes place on Saturday.
  Y, j) n" Z9 t8 G9 @' E- The festival kicks off at 11:30 a.m., with an opening ceremony outside the Pacific Rim Mall at 9700 105th. Ave. From 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., lion dancers, dragon dancers and traditional Chinese musicians will move north along 97th Street, visiting shops and restaurants throughout Chinatown, setting off firecrackers.

3 R( J1 U# m' ~& J6 v: d- The Money God, who bears a striking resemblance to retired city councillor Michael Phair, will be there, handing out red envelopes to lucky children.
