Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.1 r+ n! D5 i; v4 [
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker4 @1 X7 D# a' y8 H
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team) E# L7 L/ p \

Qualifications:
$ W! U/ T8 C8 i7 G0 r+ L" i- post secondary diploma
' B, S7 p7 @1 z- F3 E/ o( z$ i- customer service and office clerical experiences
3 ]# x- p* _1 k) l! T- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset% A0 n8 @0 H% p/ ^: S

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
) {3 q% l7 D( N6 i% U8 M1 Z* T2 C- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
* y. O4 z( c# r; z- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
2 _5 `7 a6 z! R& I- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
% C+ q: u7 z- X2 r- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
# S: l, P3 k1 D" J- update ASSIST website
5 i* I# e+ r: \, b& [$ |0 S- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre+ Z) H: B) H: F) e1 E
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services! l5 h1 o% r( j
- assist in writing proposal for ISP" o' n8 v8 d+ ~5 U, \# K
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP- R! n3 m0 [- o" e
- hold regular meetings with ISP team. w9 O( Q; s! Z* V( s
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time9 b. X9 @% z' Z& v% w
- update membership database, D. m4 N( s$ C& d2 m0 X& {1 N8 w" x( S
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

: _" z" ]0 T# s1 [; _- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 5 B- f% j- f) S+ U8 @2 M
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills. ~1 Y0 \4 M7 H; c
- experience in community work and immigrant services; Q* ~( P) \0 C9 {& r4 h
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset3 \- S/ N9 j+ [9 d- H- s7 U9 E
