Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.6 q# H" Q; s% Q
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
+ Y7 ^4 C' j/ W [* g4 Q" P+ Q- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma

" a/ c) i( R2 j- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
/ o! `5 U( K- `2 E5 H7 z0 I) ^- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services' _8 d/ X3 ?% J' y0 @
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) W& A! K* b- W- c- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members! v2 z/ B' x) J ^
- update ASSIST website
+ u8 [2 Y/ t" `8 t8 l, H- U3 T- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
* C: a: e L/ i* _- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services$ t- S/ O- g( c" {
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
; W. p' q8 |* A2 a; C- write quarterly and final reports for ISP% ?+ v. f) }% d+ J3 C3 S
- hold regular meetings with ISP team) r% V u- w' e l' k
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
7 e2 ?5 B% Q& E7 R- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education : Z5 N* S4 `% ]( c3 `5 [
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills& S4 F) e& [+ A6 {) |1 T# B; W! Y
- experience in community work and immigrant services
9 n T0 w& y3 g8 ]9 j- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
