to furniture installers/assemblers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

6 T% l+ a& m& j" R+ d1 B· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
in a timely fashion.
# b. d: }! y- {# ~1 \· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
meet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
6 G* h( O7 J# [! X7 v% N0 Bincludes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal
. q* b4 h7 L7 W3 x/ ]: G8 n2 Zand wood furniture at customer location.

· Follows all safety procedures in the performance to job duties.

Compentencies:

· Class 5 Drivers License with maximum 3 demerits
· Ability to read and construction blueprints and CAD installation drawings
· Experience in operating vehicles ranging from passenger vans to 5-ton trucks

1 y8 K0 T& M9 u2 X- W" _9 J; ~Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
. q+ a$ V9 @& P" h6 \3 H& Yspecifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
0 J& |; u4 L- o6 Urequirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
  \- z, d/ W- a$ Ymeasure layout.
2 ?' e8 m( d6 h7 {. U2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
% B2 X0 [. I+ q8 J0 p6 Idrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
6 o1 d# j) o7 pspecification and installation.
9 v% \0 L- E6 g% @- e" U3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
# A* N2 K: q$ Y% W3 Pmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
: T3 z6 e: C$ V5 o. A, eneeds.
4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
" _$ M" C  P! {  Q* b& j$ X2 oroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
" z% f: K0 C7 A$ j2 ~, i$ G: }5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
; l8 g. C* I4 b8 \plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
3 F( C. X( S" d0 b0 t7 msite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
checks.
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
( F$ i; k0 f$ ?* ?* r: q/ z! ?& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
9 X/ K5 k* a. ^. n% I' v2 N7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
2 N1 x  x; l6 b4 ~4 `$ w0 Zand revisions.
  Y+ M/ w; r% o& z6 S4 R9 @/ d8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
8 X+ s, T, n0 H% Z& ]inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
. Z  F2 q! ^7 G9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
# \1 r9 o# E  }5 Z  R1 P11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
; Y) S) F: c- e. b5 p% `" @meetings with the furniture management team.

Daily interaction with client account base and prospects, furniture vendors,

management team, warehouse/delivery/install team and various architectural,

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
% X  e3 _  d: nexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
5 F2 ~, K4 y0 q# y1 Xknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
