To perform furniture assembly, reconfiguration tasks and functions pertaining to

excellent customer satisfaction. Assists in training and provides work direction

6 U. y: \1 O0 I9 C; f, ?ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

  W6 O6 L9 L- w( F· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
in a timely fashion.
6 q2 k4 i$ x1 Z- [9 q· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
meet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
includes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal
. w* @) s' P" d8 f% ]and wood furniture at customer location.
· Develops team skills in assisting with project management.
+ `% ~- R8 Q& G! Z1 ]( J% d! @4 e· Follows all safety procedures in the performance to job duties.


Compentencies:

· Class 5 Drivers License with maximum 3 demerits
· Ability to read and construction blueprints and CAD installation drawings
* A( P2 {# E/ x& d8 o  x8 G5 B· Experience in operating vehicles ranging from passenger vans to 5-ton trucks
· Available to work evenings, weekends and out of town jobs as required
· Team orientated

Interior Designer

PURPOSE:

0 J# T1 b# o) A7 b/ bResponsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
" [- t7 K9 d  U7 E% h8 k( {1 Rspecifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
: [- m& k; a! Tto the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
0 ?7 z: g  X( F  R! \! Nthat do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

+ A+ D  S, v: h8 lESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may
be assigned):

( w8 o/ M- \, _' L1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
  @! @, w8 L; P8 F6 h0 |% w; Nfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
measure layout.
9 Y9 z- {3 H( _/ Q2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
- z* d% ~& V, q/ Fproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
) o8 q( c0 m, v* v1 C) b! V0 kdrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
specification and installation.
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
4 C3 o, r; Y$ t' Imeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
. G8 s9 }4 Q; i7 g0 ~7 vneeds.
* z: o( [8 d0 B( x" _$ _. R4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
# {  ^8 k; @4 R& Echecks.
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
; b! e2 c1 A$ `9 yassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
and revisions.
0 u  k! v' ?. k6 S  z! t$ B5 L8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
8 {  S. U3 g0 P5 Vinspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
9 s' b# Z2 L. q( `11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
1 j# C1 x: |: g/ {$ v0 y. h8 o% T/ P) zmeetings with the furniture management team.

interior design department employees, furniture personnel, sales team, order

/ ?7 \9 M! h: J7 G0 Cdesign, and construction representatives.

Working knowledge of furniture design and specification software

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

" ^# \7 v5 S9 G9 Z2 M# A+ iBachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
4 W( K) L& `# i8 ?& d0 b; A5 bexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
