· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.

! n- N4 Q9 H6 nmeet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
6 M8 l* ^) u+ K; G· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This

Interior Designer
! y+ J# ]# z# O' o8 Y/ s
PURPOSE:

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
$ @8 R7 M6 Q( B( u# \. M& T, P0 PCoordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
+ q+ V& W0 f: _% d" k4 Qthat do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may
be assigned):

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
; H' f8 d" H" i) gfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
measure layout.
" O, C, P( h4 y6 S6 B! D+ G2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
& E. N4 @+ D% N. iproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
specification and installation.
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
3 R" C! u  S2 G! a7 Omeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
needs.
4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
checks.
1 g/ {( h2 `% G9 _% e6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
/ s( h+ H7 L( V. t" X5 U( R7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
6 \6 j5 j; |& {  P6 L. Zand revisions.
0 H5 h6 n+ p% P7 R9 g5 H2 S) Z# y8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
$ L+ T$ N7 k8 f: v9 r10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
4 X$ f9 j! s5 T! e/ P0 I, T8 Q11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
meetings with the furniture management team.

Daily interaction with client account base and prospects, furniture vendors,
interior design department employees, furniture personnel, sales team, order
