Interior Designer

specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.

to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may$ y0 S" d" Z, j# r' s

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
; H' f8 d" H" i) gfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to' r8 i: J& K! l* m. Z
measure layout.
" O, C, P( h4 y6 S6 B! D+ G2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
& E. N4 @+ D% N. iproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built& b% j0 t* a/ {7 [+ a2 T
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for5 E/ H) Y6 o+ H) V
specification and installation.+ l: I7 Y5 v8 g+ ~, x/ k& B
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
3 R" C! u S2 G! a7 Omeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these2 i( \- u4 L; x) x1 e: T% ]' X

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering4 g2 V2 ?; R8 A" F
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.1 x) U! C8 w/ v) A' m$ h5 Z
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction5 q& |% W* f% w+ w( `
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job1 O. l- g& v5 L" S. l
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence" r; h. t f3 |5 o) i( w% P
checks.

& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
/ s( h+ H7 L( V. t" X5 U( R7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,, i7 q. A4 w' G1 g, G
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes

9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
$ L+ T$ N7 k8 f: v9 r10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a2 _1 u# w# A/ b8 ]
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
9 e7 _9 g7 R3 b% ?, h$ E/ Eexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
8 k% [. T& D3 M" b3 ^knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.9 O& M" @8 R9 U+ n
