PURPOSE:

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and

furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
3 L+ O6 t; H+ z6 r6 b2 v" I) K) nproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built( ]2 \7 f7 f3 p% p: G- `' A5 _
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
' o# g. ^7 E- i0 W+ ~ \5 [% lspecification and installation.
' \4 M; r6 w3 x/ d9 a3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
" p" k. t5 l5 q7 t' I9 {meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
' `. X: z1 A& A$ k; Broutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
4 H9 A! p7 n* K, R5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
5 N" j" l# X2 P5 ]" gplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
5 u7 G! l& Q1 C, I3 Gsite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence |$ l" S: C z, ~- }$ y& i/ d
checks.
! P. ]7 u5 \. h6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
6 Z& M" j) ]/ ^5 o5 Q2 P& Design (A&D) drawing sets.- f* ^$ t' O' B6 s; i! j: W, @
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
, Y/ R' J1 n2 x. I% i6 rassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job% u% V) u, B5 V1 f+ j/ [8 j! u
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
9 G, B! _) R0 g+ y; { U; J7 Y9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.8 M* I7 O% B4 i) {
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.9 |* ?+ Q) d) o. n
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review0 s# ^$ r. f5 I, J) z
meetings with the furniture management team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a- `& _) C! k! W, O% z
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
4 w$ @: _2 n: S1 x3 yexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
1 K# Q; T9 A( \- D+ U# L5 Iknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required. o) @9 {2 \( |/ L
