Interior Designer

specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.

to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
$ C3 p4 D, t7 }. J$ X! B% E7 Qfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to9 M/ [: w0 z+ N

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework," K8 C4 w" p0 T" W
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built8 Y& v* H- e) T# d' \* P
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for, H- h9 N8 }$ q
specification and installation.
; X2 [. A" t8 y2 t2 S1 c2 x, n% u3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning- X2 l* l5 |7 q5 Q5 F
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these

( J; q0 [- m' t: M' d- H4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
* \- B# ^+ @2 W9 n) A7 Broutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.9 M) S s# Z0 c: t' [
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
' [) z- y; ]+ Q( E, ^+ Z' Oplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job3 F4 K# a; z" B
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
* r d) a# b! Y5 p$ A- O! Jchecks.
% F y2 [: c) o# E4 L6 w6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
; o/ `' C' T" [& C& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
9 v" |8 |- Q3 ~4 |; }* Q5 R3 S7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
( G7 } d9 ^' hassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes, H+ N% i6 q1 C0 x' K

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
# y# r0 L0 E' F/ \; w( F; F! D9 e. B! tinspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.- ~! E0 w$ `7 q- J3 [
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing., s I" k u# P9 z" _
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.6 D0 Q" d9 r+ n
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review! j; r/ E, t0 U
meetings with the furniture management team.& D" R9 r9 H+ e: v, c8 r4 `

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a P9 b! w# B. K+ }! `
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
5 G- @" F1 W d u' lexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
- L4 V0 Y3 O0 x& {: z! r( Nknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.+ J2 J' @9 R2 I% Y6 A8 H

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
