Alberta牙医协会与牙医学院主席，Jonathan Skuba博士今天下午在新闻发布会上告诉记者，37岁的牙医，Byron Wong，眼目前已经自动停止了他的实习，正主动配合卫生当局确保能找到所有这些病人。

The dentist, identified as Dr. Byron Wong, 37, has voluntarily stopped his practice, and is co-operating with the health authority to ensure all patients are contacted, Dr. Jonathan Skuba, president of the Alberta Dentist Association and College, told a news conference Tuesday afternoon.* o- w( l1 G5 k. W3 x

Wong approached the college in February, immediately after he was told of the positive test, Skuba said.

"We did a risk analysis of the potential risk of this dentist transmitting the effect to his patient, and the risk is very small. We estimate somewhere 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 100,000, probably close to the 1 in 100,000 figure."( Q9 \5 x1 Q" @; \2 ~' d7 W
* t/ O5 q3 F" ~9 L* G8 _3 CHepatitis B has been part of the province's school immunization program since the mid-1990s, so most people aged up to the mid-20s should be protected, Predy said. w6 r. S0 y$ X1 @; D- _: J- ]* ]
- w, Y+ A, ]& F+ h8 L$ m) m5 _% \Officials even debated whether to issue a public warning because the risk is so small, but in the end, they concluded people would want to know, Predy said.
