    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region- t7 d6 z2 _! Y4 }7 }
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group. U* F4 `1 Y9 V/ p
    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators) _  h3 v: B# F7 w, y4 M
    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations( ]/ U) \/ K: A. A
    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
; x: _) D5 h' y9 \5 d& N    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses; o0 U# m$ D! S% }9 n
    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth
4 n& n, I+ p4 o( a. Y3 o    * Researches and develops a LGBTTQ youth mentoring program
0 s5 a( j+ E7 ~3 B2 B    * Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment# m/ E* t5 I8 P* b- {( R8 B4 K
    * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports

    * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly: M& z$ w7 P7 U! g9 q$ D2 d
    * Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities

3 ^! H# H5 B, R' V& a/ e- x. O    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline# _9 Z( W( B! Z8 ^% Y. M! l# [1 y
    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
# f& D# V' z+ g7 G    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies
' ~/ Q* z4 B8 B) \# r9 a    * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs, P) u/ O4 {5 C" ?9 x6 |; V: N3 \
    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community

    * Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills% w+ v2 v0 {# B; t7 L, X
