2 n+ e( f+ {& m( o u * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program6 L% O% e$ t5 x- c$ R
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities% n( s1 p& A$ n. g M: A
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes5 _$ v6 p/ D/ p1 n0 e# s0 F
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat. ~& z: Y4 `& u [ N
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders* p: A5 y$ j6 c
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements

* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
' F" i# q" q& D' s2 { * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

Qualifications
1 H+ c$ r/ {# i. N k/ I7 T
, i- k, q: T2 y * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
# b1 ~) M; U; v9 |/ b * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
4 e. X+ [/ V3 T * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
4 N3 v0 ? K2 M * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies" Q0 ?- l) m# ^1 _
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
