. `0 X/ b- p) S! R: u6 Y! h * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program) ~# ]6 N3 p1 A* {; s5 j
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities/ e$ y4 \% |* l/ L
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes, U+ w$ t" V p6 h o% Q
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
H) C1 O8 q- x* q8 e# t, @" } * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders

* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs4 T# D6 A; e% s$ j
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications0 o' W& n+ n5 Q: R3 b6 U5 w

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred; S+ k& i* l6 R+ v
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth! S6 {9 x1 \. O8 j9 o8 i% L
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset' G } B3 @2 t9 b9 H
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
8 l0 L+ K4 F: ?2 a2 |+ K% E5 E * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
