' L$ G; \6 f/ ` * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program/ U3 y1 u8 g3 K5 s$ b- ]
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
! K" h4 s+ U2 ?0 C; Y8 f% w. \) b * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
1 [0 A- e& G- y k" V! U * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat. }# J, `5 b% b" p* { V/ i
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders7 ?/ U1 W, W; G' E1 o
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements k, [" b) Z, Y& S8 W7 {: s
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs3 D; n7 {, K! g/ _
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
* m8 N, @) L5 |2 e6 P% r * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning6 Z4 |% L3 U8 F
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
8 x: l3 o. P' L# v * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media% x( U3 X3 z/ { P. m1 ?3 j* M4 o
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
A' I- E9 P& M0 B% P' j * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications) N4 K5 ?, X% B. \3 \" s6 g5 q0 _
: q! c6 e9 K& a0 ^* F: D7 S * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred: f: \- {5 T' n
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
- P( t% u) u/ |, \0 E |" \ * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
; _& m5 n) C4 Z7 f% ?8 ~ Z3 S2 S * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
0 D# }: p; Q7 ` * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
J- W: E) u2 N' {8 v4 [ * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
# H: \3 \5 r9 z! p. L$ |# k$ N * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)- b* @9 N9 n2 S
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
