Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager

" \8 b  ]( [* x' q, Q& }Job Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
- B0 O6 t$ n# z# [! p) ^•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
, z% s9 b& h" V•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
! q/ T) E0 ~6 w4 K( A+ s•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
/ `9 a4 i# j( M; S( q; b•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
. \+ [* h% J9 i' M  y; E' ~# r•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
6 s/ ~5 E; |/ o0 G7 V. V•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
9 [- x" U2 X; s•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

+ o4 H5 b, j/ C3 Z1 Y4 m8 i2 EQualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
: O6 r0 h( ]/ y•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
% n( X, u8 C; L! u! K•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
! P9 O6 }  Y: t$ L$ d. e•        willingness to learn
