Context: The Edmonton Waste Management Centre of Excellence is a non-profit org., with a mandate to facilitate research, technology development and training in waste management. We share the vision that our work contributes to environmental sustainability and better quality of life.

1) Research Program Manager: a highly-motivated individual to manage and expand the Centre's research activities. Role includes supervision of ongoing projects, establishing new initiatives, identification of funding opportunities & other management functions. Successful candidate will have an advanced scientific or engineering degree, preferably a PhD, a minimum of 3 years of successful work experience in a research environment, and project management experience.

6 M) w* o% L% K2) Office Manager: The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, proven work experience in office administration/interest in working in a non-profit organization in the environmental field. You are highly organized & able to work effectively with little supervision. Key functions include reception duties, general off. adm., developing/maintaining a filing system and organizing the logistics of visiting delegations, technical seminars and training courses.

3) Marketing & Communications Coordinator: we are looking for a self-motivated & creative individual with a degree (or equivalent) in Marketing and Communications, and a minimum of 3 years work experience in implementing marketing and communications initiatives. Key responsibilities include development/implementation of an integrated marketing & communications strategy and identification of promotional opportunities for the Centre.
