只针对中国的电工，还是所有没经过学徒的电工？
4 t* G, K& V& n) K2 C我见过别的国家没经过学徒的电工，还有东南亚的华侨，理论技能一塌糊涂，完全凭经验干活。烤烤他们，准糊。
" m! P  t+ X8 n5 N  F" t曾经一老兄，二十多年的journeyman，拿两个heater，串联接起来，说是一个heater太小，怕不管用。
+ |1 W* {6 }5 f( \( b4 K以前有一印度兄弟来我原先的工作单位应聘，老板拿了一节我握好的管子，问他能不能照做，老兄说能，然后双手握管，开始比划，然后就被客气的送走了。那个是铁管子，用手，doesn't work！不过，并不是所有电工都握管子，人家不干这行的，也来考，不公平。这又不是电工基本技能。听起来工会那些头头多是握管电工出身的。

I understood that all electricians without any apprenticeship experience within Canada will be a test in union, the union then will give a training lesson to the electricians who fail the test, this is not just including Chinese Electricians, it includes all electricians from outside Canada.

  H9 C) E7 Q$ g- U% f+ ]2 {- ODoes anybody know this test is mandatory? Does the test is for everyone who already in Uinion or who will join the union, or both?

Actually we will have a meeting with  IBEW 424 president Jim in the middle of January.
* w; ~- W5 J) eWe will present all those concerns and try to talk about this issue.
There are also some other issues we need to communicate with the Union.
$ S% o6 L0 w0 o$ mI will post my draft about those issues and ask for the feedback from our members.

这种考试有意义吗？见过不少有学徒经验的洋JOURNEYMAN一样不会弯管，不会接电机，到头来，还是没学徒经验的中国JOURNEYMAN给他们擦屁股。

I heard at the meeting that if one failed the test, then the union will ask you to join the training lesson inside the union.

基本的弯管知识都有了标准示范，搜索conduit bending就好了。一般都是半寸的管子。至于机器弯管，我还没有操作过，也没在这个网站找到示范。没有相应经验的可以去看看。

我有BARRY 或JIM 的电话，但我不知POST 在网上是否核合适。

1 |" j. M) B4 J* n有关机器弯管，一般是弯90度。机器的顶端都会一个TABLE,查一下对具体尺寸如3/4INCH的补偿量是多少，在管子上MARK那个尺寸，我记得对3/4INCH的管子好像是9INCH，将那个MARK对准机器上的箭头，按下按钮一直到指示到92度左右，因为管子会往回弹一些，然后再校正。若弯的不够90度放回机器，再弯多一点，若弯的过了90度，举起管子在弯角敲几下。再用大SQUARE　量一下，MATCH就好，若不MATCH,重复以上步骤。
