Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
0 V- z; P9 B; F+ ~$ dmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan.

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and ( H0 f7 J) B2 q& k) E

Arabia.

to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
) Z% k2 {/ P4 t8 k2 p( Vavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
7 n6 }! P7 X0 `9 U7 ]oil.

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 : R. N3 H' i5 ^. X8 Z- t
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into 9 j$ S: ]3 ^3 {* w
oil wells.

; e, V! o* `, d# `" o9 o! X2 `# {10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the
% t' c3 a3 Y p8 @& Kprice of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world
0 \. `& o9 H/ f& lchanging. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability
/ M" J% I9 k* U n' H# yto control oil prices.
