上述译法,觉得都不够准确,不够精彩,没有把“折腾”的全部意思表达出来。这里推荐一个译法,感觉比较恰当:
) Z+ b) @9 D" d$ e
" Z0 \2 C1 S1 h) j2 S avoid self-inflicted setbacks (不折腾)
% t6 t! i& P# y2 e
3 D9 V/ g. n; L, K) Y8 C 原因是:: Q/ F+ Y- u- O- K: A
g$ q/ ~, \1 j: c8 d
“self-inflicted” has the connotation of creating theunnecessarypain for one self.

折腾 in Hu"s speech has a strong connotation that such kindofsetback is self-seeking instead of being due to theinterferencefrom outside.- ]: Z& d P1 ?$ q' g4 o% L
. F8 ]% b* H" t' }/ u4 e2 O/ ~: |
“Setback” is a much better word than “trouble”, whichanunseasoned translator would like to use in the firstinstance.“Setback” especially refers to the obstacle ordifficultyencountered in achieving a strategic goal. |
