) f @/ a# D+ w. {% e * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications* f8 R6 ?5 J5 s8 w; j2 X
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis$ i5 i, n8 C5 `# u# L& j* d' a6 n
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
) S3 H8 L1 M" D/ g8 G k * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
+ n$ d- E5 Q6 V/ U * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
