Duties

3 r2 K" O+ M, S+ A$ V* y    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
! d' E: ~8 U# N9 o5 C/ @    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
7 C- l8 P; q5 |    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
7 i3 F2 s, m, TSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
& s: `& v+ B/ q: f1 |- y; f: s3 E3 }wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

6 h7 \% d, F1 S7 Mti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
