Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program 5 d2 H0 Z3 ^ V0 `
(ages 6 to 15)
$ p: N" c- J3 S4 g- Recruit children for summer programs
; Q& Y U) c/ U& U9 ~; q' r- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
* `# x/ z. F& I" P7 T4 U4 j0 Z" t" R- Record keeping
r) I! z% c3 w; ~- Provide orientation for parents
' u: J$ X6 Q1 N; @& V5 |% s0 q- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency/ R7 M J- l, F0 B
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:* i% r4 z6 N; E7 e) N
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education0 E6 \1 { ?9 {% a" B0 ~; {
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children2 G$ g& [+ r/ R/ C' g
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills. B- { ^1 p3 v# W% U
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities7 j. N& }+ U# R3 N& S1 p
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese' R! B+ P9 p/ }" T# f' F) @' \
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
) [* P% B9 N2 u' T$ u- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/ h; c0 |' }1 ^4 T5 x4 c+ J2 _, q
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) + J2 B+ D" L& ~" l' B
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
