Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

provide services for Chinese community
/ C! A1 I: Z7 F$ w- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
& P5 H* U; U: `( S4 c u. F access to mainstream services7 Z" b K: \' ^, r5 h# T2 f
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
6 t) V0 |! H2 ] social services- j+ {% ^, P, p) J% L7 ~0 F* ]8 m
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
8 g/ D4 I5 _$ I+ T( U5 G$ r' [ ^- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members+ |% S# Y. O) G. `& p, r
- update ASSIST website
4 D+ f3 N$ O) C, } O9 o- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre. C" a; f% G( d# I# C
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services, M" C0 D# @2 f& B" H* z
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time5 {2 i1 |+ ^( O3 U- w
- update membership database' B S5 W& l5 l5 O; s1 ]# a
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications2 I$ w8 S( t% `2 v; ?
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
+ |2 ?. M# A* V experience and education . E8 R v9 r8 l% K# [
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills# t! F1 `1 d( s+ N4 L0 [# j* u
- experience in community work and immigrant services# R8 n( ^, }6 ?. p2 W, } Z
- experience in website update/design7 N, O# n6 I, D0 }8 D7 G4 `
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
- n7 M0 N# W! E; z* T/ B( y6 K- }
