Job Description
* U; M; d! Y( j- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to + i4 z8 Y5 \) o9 b
provide services for Chinese community
4 d3 _! O1 s% @% J# B- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
6 ^/ O$ t" L/ \# J. g access to mainstream services
1 \ S) A) h, A) U) W+ }. j3 B% h- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
) o/ l0 n' X) \; w, w3 C0 e5 o social services
+ E; I5 }# `' k3 |2 n- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) X$ A3 f e4 u& t5 E2 }- {7 ?- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members1 j9 l3 A) ^4 \" R1 v; [
- update ASSIST website
5 O- w0 P& g B; ^4 ?& D) F; D- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre+ s8 K7 K5 Y! n2 p: s1 `$ i4 d
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
- J# R4 @. ~4 ]4 r+ h: x ~- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

& R3 B' V! O: t6 D- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)+ j `1 y( R( [, Z

Qualifications
3 G( f# j; J( d% E2 ]) u2 S8 G- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
; Y" L& q7 ]3 B4 Z experience and education 0 f' W! P1 y# d7 }
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills7 I6 C6 R6 m6 I. O- s
- experience in community work and immigrant services( ~$ R& d# P5 R8 ]. ^% W; K3 R& r
- experience in website update/design
# c- p. W/ _0 @- g* Z" G8 Q- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
