CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.
Activities include sight viewing, canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge, and

spring at Miette Hot Springs.
  H& _/ q: M% Y9 h: qWe will go to Jasper by mini-van rented by CSSA and driven by CSSA
Volunteers.
We'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.

Day One
-        Ride to Jasper by mini-van.(7 people per minivan)
-        Canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge.($35 per canoe per hour and $25 per

  B0 q0 Q) B& w- W& k' [-        Hot spring in Jasper for the evening.(Usually hot spring costs about

Day Two
-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the
morning .
And we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
trip. It's
6 R$ J0 d8 Y* z, Q$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done
+ o& z# O- a) o# o% e+ `" mthis
# N! K8 T( S7 E  ^5 m, ~6 Sbefore, I strongly recommend you to do so.
! |+ z+ u  b( y" j1 u+ q-        Stays the night in Jasper and no activities in day 2's evening so

could visit the town by yourself, or go to the bar and have a drink or

-        Sight-viewing in Jasper continues.

; O8 _" _# i# }$ _/ [Things to Bring:
-        Travel needs.
-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain
in the
late May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes

shoes are definitely needed.
4 i/ i: }1 l% ^2 I: O% Q-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
drving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).
-       We won't take care of the food for you, but we'll stop at
places where
9 C$ f% n* O/ p* ]7 V" [there are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to
8 ]3 S/ ]$ `  _eat.
% M7 U2 j' U# cFeel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an
# h* h6 f  y/ qIGA in
Jasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

Cost: $160, this price includes your share of car rentals, gas,
two-night
accommodation in jasper, and national park entrance tickets, and it
; J! D1 B- C: I# g0 [' g  y8 Oexcludes
the hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
Hot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
. D7 `2 _# w1 Z  N1 BCanoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.
