- e7 c& r# J& z* e* ?0 j1 Msummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to ( x' h" P9 n" L5 L
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern ( M6 E8 _' g e7 ] D3 ^
Alberta.

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
4 `( ?% H( O3 P) G8 C% fresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
" R) z+ W$ R; Kscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 3 c& a" U" i' h9 {4 @
Alberta.

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 9 N0 z+ Z$ E O) b+ G; ~% F
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
+ C; D7 h5 y5 u- F" \6 }well as the script, magazine and book library. / V' m1 C9 |/ p* w/ r

Duties: 3 ^( W% p" e9 T, g k0 v) L4 i. j
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
) e9 o6 r7 I9 I- N- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ( U4 U& i, I( h/ b G+ e# j
- Implement a catalogue template for future use ) C( t/ X5 {% O. S9 `
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
$ }2 ]* z+ h7 s- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 7 @ D0 b/ v5 Y2 }/ G6 F% s3 C

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 6 u1 d( d+ A# T
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
& b3 T# M) v1 ?( x1 R+ Z- Strong organizational skills
) H% O6 G: N1 J, Z, p- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
