On May 1, 2002 it became mandatory in Alberta for all children under the age of
3 _; D: j: Z' e8 o/ t+ p' _! y' g18 to wear approved bicycle helmets when cycling.

We are aware that enforcement agencies will be conducting helmet checks this
% ]; n  S$ k5 \summer. The fine is $69.00, which is substantially higher than the cost of a
helmet.
