Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

' g0 \% {% O4 @3 D& g$ l1 Z; u! l- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
+ r4 V6 G' f5 E/ z) J3 z& |9 M$ K- Recruit children for summer program
1 G. k& m6 C2 ~! y- Provide orientation for parents
& `+ `( ~* J7 D+ m% }+ i! y- Find sponsors to enhance program
& k" x2 W: @4 u& I- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

+ {- g/ _4 R2 n; n6 C) UQualifications:
/ L  Z3 n# s/ f5 ?- c( ^2 Q
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
. I  g3 \- H/ [) W* p1 g- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
+ v; D( y3 t9 n: m' `' R. J: x- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
3 p, W& N, ^+ {; ^9 ~: `- leadership abilities
0 V5 T8 r8 ^/ |, t$ K% |5 q- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
