Position Title: Manager of Accounting
Job Description/Duties: The Town of Devon's Finance and Support Services Department is responsible for the major functions of finance, accounting, pay and benefits administration, and information technology. Working in a team environment, the Manager of Accounting will report to the Director of Finance and Support Services. As a key member of the Finance Team, the Manager of Accounting supervises Department staff in operating, maintaining and administering the Town's accounting systems and procedures, and assists the Director in the role of the Financial Administrator of the Town. Strong management, motivational and interpersonal communication skills coupled with excellent administrative, computer and organizational skills are necessary. Preference will be given to candidates with municipal accounting software experience. The successful candidate will have the ability and desire to advance within the organization. A minimum of five years of general administrative, supervisory and financial management experience in a municipal environment is preferred.
