Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

& _, ]" N  g% Y& y- Organize focus group(s)
* Z4 m3 o# f5 d* z& u- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
1 @5 p7 M! A6 _. U, P- Recruit children for summer program
1 ?" a3 \1 p. T1 m  X6 _- Provide orientation for parents
& @# V7 y0 w. l* r2 E- Find sponsors to enhance program
; M+ E; R1 l0 [# B- Supervise volunteer(s)
: j- Z0 m- O* X* S3 Y- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
! P+ W3 X: k+ _' J6 X- Y, g; ]
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
9 S1 n$ Q; Z3 @, ]- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
& S9 g: q; ~' t* v6 Y  |7 R- t7 c- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
1 W6 I' ^; r# I" ?+ g6 x- k! X- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
