動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.6 J5 {4 y  u- W0 {4 j

7 F* P1 w5 v7 ~9 K( n3 T: t' {The Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. ', _5 Z1 D2 u4 ~: Z* Q1 v
收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』4 u7 _+ z, ?' r! ?& C8 P

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,
$ t  c* J7 b. h6 D- d: ^+ Zare you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '+ F; k4 |* B" z: c3 X+ z
老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」

1 ^/ o( C& |4 H  h# G0 {' S
3 {, L1 K; e& V) a, N# v/ t1 }Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.: j1 b) h* }. U, o0 c# ]' Y4 r) B

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.8 B; J& A- ?" H3 [- {& m; _2 S

My heart nearly stopped.

1 N: {* M! e$ k- D/ Q* ^' B/ W  G4 Q' U, ZThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '& R. M5 B# M$ m3 Z3 A# x

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '0 z( Z( p, B8 ^: B

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.7 u! ?' t' ~5 d, g

'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
. c" L. b, Z8 ]# `. D, k& _/ x『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。

. y6 Y4 h& Q/ Z3 ^! |3 G: I8 HThe little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '
" s' ]+ ~" a  j9 b& O6 g小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』

, u- c: Q- T7 Z" G5 I4 YThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

' Q0 f( H; p4 \2 C2 r" m0 D" K3 ~0 y; t'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' ') C: R* g+ C! y' y( C! W

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.: d9 r/ I4 U( A+ W: C

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young0 M+ q6 x! j: Q9 Y
woman and a little girl.3 a2 d" l3 ]0 |5 W4 P
我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。

state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the3 U& D, c2 y3 @$ P, A
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.8 A$ X" j$ d) T5 v7 N% A

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.

7 g9 }" C) F9 gI couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.7 g' \9 l2 c/ O6 ?: b& R8 q; I: g
我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。$ U7 r9 ^* F# \, D, S

9 W9 g  H9 c# O6 a8 eShe was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.
, S0 S- D) H6 V' o& f$ s% ]她在那裡,裝在棺木中,在她的手中握著一朵白玫瑰和小男孩的相片,娃娃則放置在她的胸口。

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
