動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.7 t0 P! Q( g+ h# h' v: _- P8 M
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。
3 W3 y" n; `" y# l. ? " w* n" I) v; `/ Z- i: }% l( P
The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.
; K" y' b& z7 R- s6 C6 E7 X 5 H, h6 ~  ~! o) _& O, Q
這男孩不過5、6歲。
) e& Z3 ]1 [" W3 q0 m, Z . g( F; a$ O- u) B' u5 z

2 E' P/ H- `1 o+ {, N  t6 B0 yThe Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '0 [, u! l3 `. x. ?. `1 _
收銀員說:『抱歉!你買這娃娃的錢不夠。』

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,  C3 u0 `8 f5 N' a4 ^9 p" ]( [
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '/ A& k  x2 y- O3 s8 [! z6 U
小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:) q1 k& |3 u2 Z, Z: W

$ V; @& k3 S( G6 |「奶奶!妳也認為我的錢不 嗎?」

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' ', U, s$ @& H! v4 w4 l0 i" f, t: t
老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」1 p, J: A6 J1 m4 B: y7 R' `' g* s

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly." {- {% @( l' q' a" _

She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her. '7 Y4 q7 {4 z$ j9 r7 F6 U( [

: D$ C& ^" {6 R! ~7 h4 oI replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.+ I' h3 p" K0 w' I4 R

But he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '7 [3 J% s' A! b6 M( s1 m9 B

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '

My heart nearly stopped.

8 [& r' S7 z2 {, n9 s. [  [/ Q1 J8 wThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. ': O+ C. D9 T; y+ d2 C
小男孩看我說:『我叫爸爸告訴媽媽現在不要走,讓她等我從購物中心回來。』

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '6 O7 Y6 K/ V2 u8 }5 l5 f1 s

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ' Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll! ' '

. p% D0 z8 C0 G3 u$ l; A'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.( j3 o# F4 W" H; _% W1 F
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。! |* K1 e$ w2 k1 X' h" x5 a

/ z- t% q  ?4 p! M' T. s; f$ oThe little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '
! {0 Y7 h% F! P0 C4 m3 F小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』
% q  O2 x/ ~. ^4 b # Q0 y8 |3 K3 F+ J4 Q  f2 u9 D
Then he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young
$ N3 k, o/ }$ f1 Lwoman and a little girl.& x- K+ N. n' \( o, m' U/ T

state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
3 y' s1 V! i- V1 K* m' plife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.% o- P! A( l' w& R" p9 q" h
小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.+ ]) A3 h5 u, I9 d8 Z; O3 }+ f% Q0 V
我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。) ^4 B; C' I! Z- D( T

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

still, to this day, hard to imagine.
% C, n9 A% H( \$ H7 \! f% Y9 M( ]我離開了這裡,眼淚奪眶而出,覺得我的人生已經永遠改變了。至今,小男孩對他母親和妹妹的愛,仍然難以想像。

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
