Responsibilities:
Responsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
( g9 W% r0 @/ O2 O8 b5 YPerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)

Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
# |, a. r" a& m2 [; eMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
' Q4 p: Q' F- M7 L- yProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
$ ^3 y% o, ]* @( J! jDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
- C0 B4 F8 Y7 Q, iWork directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Qualifications:
5 n3 N9 g( w+ q+ e% M& aGeneral:
Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
% v8 ~) ^2 U; b% R1 j% N4 EStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
. d, q$ s3 Z  X/ J* pStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
Technical:
+ J: d* j5 m2 s- f* g/ aRequired:
: K4 B* [3 U$ [( xExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills
Desirable:
