Responsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
& F. |( a* ^4 M9 oParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
Troubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
1 H- u. J8 t( F3 n( w5 s4 D+ ]. f9 _* \Maintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)

% Z* r. V1 f) g( \% D, cProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
& n* ]2 [$ x  R! x) [1 y9 B$ w# `Developing tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
  t+ ~* @9 q* i# D. \# L- yWork directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

General:
$ Q/ y2 ~* N/ t' R1 D  C+ lDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
( Q% _$ ]3 e4 H2 w. F5 g* kExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
( `6 u0 `5 W* D1 ZStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.

/ @  x* ], R6 C, D) {; [6 V" dExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL

Strong SQL skills
