: G! r/ M4 \  G. f% m6 pBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

, v% P+ S0 ]7 u* r& u0 ]2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
2 Y, S; W! l1 x% X& |(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
0 I7 ^' Z% x$ V# G; S+ K•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
' r; g" b9 @; T•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
5 K' ]/ _2 C2 `2 d. w) L/ |•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
7 R$ a8 C1 I, P0 I•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
  P' `9 h# ^6 c! W0 }" M•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
: R$ q3 ~4 z8 E0 e: [•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
% D; ^+ c" q7 X•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
0 Z) S7 a+ J, c•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
