6月3日周三去Magrath选了一个地,选了1个户型,被告知这是custom的house,电脑里没有价格,卖房的manager(女性)很肯定的估计是50万左右。叫我等两天,然后告诉我价格。那我说你给我hold一下吧,她却说不行。我说我去过你们公司在summer side的show home,那边都可以交$1000,然后hold 2星期,你们怎么不可以,何况你又不能给我价格。然后她同意说可以courtesy hold,如果有人马上付钱要这块地的话,她给我24小时通知。由于我6月5日要出差十天,于是她提出要我先在文件上签名,说是没有我太太的签名就不会生效,这样等价格出来可以就让我太太一个人签字就好了。我挺喜欢那块地的,而且最近房子很热,我就同意了。先签了我的名字。# s- ~0 D6 Q, ]9 A) O; M
You learned a lesson this time, it is better than being trapped in something worse. Get used to canadian culture, verbal promise is no promise, sometime even it is a written. Huh!!! those sales people............ My advice is: move on and watch your step.
What kind paper did you sign? You should be able to get it back because it's not you breach the contract. plus it's not a purchase agreement, a reservation fee should be refund if you don't buy the property. A letigation lawer is not cheap who may cost more than $1,000 to get your money back. Be careful about the fine print when you sign.
