& K* z `. z V9 ?skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded$ M# L1 y* {5 G) W+ R; ?, [
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work: E) _4 ^3 Z! u$ o% P! d4 P% y
experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
. j9 T! N# \# V) swarehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
4 E3 `+ g2 F; mservices and others.! R; I3 Y7 J3 A9 w1 S* V

Candidate Profile:

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian7 c& v. Y. Q* K( _
citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
, j5 L( t; U+ |' h' j" }. G* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB% h& x6 m3 X( w( `$ ]9 t. @
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-. {5 F3 s4 F' W/ Q! I( W
secondary education
! U9 ^4 O/ o, Y% G6 c( q$ }& Q6 I* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
+ c/ ^# {& ^4 c9 E! R( ^1 L7 ]occupation
0 B& I$ j2 p, M( }4 l5 @2 H* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
