Program Overview:

/ v, w, J4 @2 W) r8 IIntegrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
8 S, q# H& C8 {4 S( l6 _) N/ gskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
8 i* `3 r8 B M- `2 ]program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work" l# t2 C, Z$ w# b7 z+ g* a" u
experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as7 W$ [1 b5 ] {! t1 N1 ?2 P
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food; @% Z% z5 \0 V" u
services and others.

Candidate Profile:# f) P, P/ Z% J
5 T/ u/ L# T$ o, ^" GCandidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian" {' a$ g0 k0 z9 F. g) q; r" ]
citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:) g- l( R6 M6 Y# g$ i+ l( Y1 o
* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB2 J; R+ E! @) i! s
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-8 [& F+ @ ?7 `8 u( P' b
secondary education
& ?- q r( `3 M4 t S* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
8 W$ n0 x5 j; k7 h0 R# B) K* U4 ooccupation4 |6 c) x; z, V; B
* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
