Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential u( a4 a* ]3 y/ S6 T
skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded) R% ?7 x' ^$ \% q( H6 p" |& k
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
, n& i/ f6 f, f$ @9 \4 `experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
9 E, N w# ?8 e9 }warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food! R' D9 p3 Y l7 ]6 N. I

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
_- g% J* O' Q0 S4 ^! B8 b pcitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
+ j) M9 L1 s6 I8 L K$ O* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
* H) r4 q* Z; D* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
3 W! V {) p' F1 tsecondary education; x% B8 |9 m; c- W8 `% u8 u& W
* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand+ f# s2 a' g' Z" n% {: O
occupation
