' y. p6 S3 H, K * Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory# ?) t: Y6 a- J( F; W. i! e: U
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr3 R; o% Z/ D' D* L3 K
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps

* Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations

* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
; _* @5 I# l! N$ g8 ]" H * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation: P7 I# N5 u) F% S$ q7 H
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers" b* o ]$ ^0 e7 C& C
* WHMIS training( m5 x4 A. F# ?. J
* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset
