Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: : c. q% X# P6 {2 d
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee ( i! l2 m4 U8 M- g( h, g
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
% O6 u6 H1 ^5 m9 L* ]& rwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the & ^# t8 I' | y1 J
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure " d8 Y1 J7 r; v5 A F- r
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. M! u X; Z! _* `
· Attend and manage Special Events : s. h# J( B3 j8 S& |
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee : Q; c- Q3 @4 l# Q6 N3 m/ s6 i; D1 f

' g7 ^7 S5 M9 I6 ]1 O9 K· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers : G9 ]- k1 F# P/ {0 v
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 9 u! {- p% Y+ w$ O" T' Q4 u
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers # D1 d* D: F0 N. ?/ l9 N5 e: f
· Complete program administration, statistics and records
) h8 F1 p" P7 \0 g7 N* q8 H1 o& a 2 A) Q, `5 f1 C* n3 q4 h& g
Qualifications:
! [0 H' `: O8 T4 M· Completion of 12th
8 U6 T& J% Z0 y3 q) V2 o Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation ^8 F7 Q" }% u# P, h
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
2 V: f8 n0 x! Q2 U· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct + |/ ]# ^0 M& z$ `
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
4 Z# ]* Z4 Q) A0 Z o7 d· Experience working with and managing volunteers 6 }! o8 S( f, B, @
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
7 {$ J _& F6 R1 O$ h! O) p' c· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events / Y1 u! i. m" ^1 ^6 C. _8 m' F$ U
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
