Point Pelee National Park is southeast of Windsor about an hour, near Wheatley, Kingsville and Leamington Ont.4 N+ }& o, G8 \/ W- k
It is the Southernmost land point of Canada , and other than group camping, is a day use park only.

The National Butterfly count takes place August 8th, and you can pre-register your family to take part, lots of fun for the kiddies (Too Late).( O6 t: B j+ i3 o' H$ o9 o
Great hiking, guides, canoe tours and rentals, bike rentals and the butterfly migration is something to see.( ?. U/ ^2 n& {/ |% r- j d
The ferry to Pelee Island only runs from Kingsville this year, not from Leamington in case your interested in going on the winery tours and hikes there.5 V2 ~4 d U3 D

There are also two Provincial Parks within an hours drive- Wheatley Provincial Park(closest), and Rondeau (farther to the west) if you wish to camp. |
