EDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.( J. q9 f+ w3 Q0 }& W

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

: O+ P/ W* [( S. k. \: \2 GOfficers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.0 s0 }* X# H5 v

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.

Roughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.+ u0 Z2 O8 q+ ~( @5 J
