Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

' W+ K* f, x; o; k5 cEDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants. U: d7 j3 P: }: D9 l

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.
