Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

0 f. z9 G" y, t& Q+ MEDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.- j- _7 T- z/ G0 y# `

Police say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

Officers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.

2 j# a0 l. z: H l. P/ d" mRoughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
