F" a9 s; j( DCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

- N0 e; `# h0 I• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers., o6 k1 ]2 X7 D( |" j( l1 Y

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

1 h! {8 U( i) T0 I% R! x; B1 o• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

1 ~3 g6 m( ^! k• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.4 }5 M' p/ Q. F, s% w2 c

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

. B& H* r5 q+ ~& P• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

* b/ m E( t+ x7 t; _8 \• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.7 R/ {' Q& [!
