, D# t8 k: d0 G0 x, D& i& \CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.1 h" v' F' e7 n L" J- `9 N

- e- Y' A+ M# y• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

" [, E- M- q5 {. p* Q7 F) a; H8 G• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

" ~. d+ ?. `+ z• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.& Z) P- }2 K/ m; ]

G w' c1 K! [# f0 x• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.5 U9 b+ U% l. a3 y0 I ]1 _

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development., e1 V2 z6 j8 c.
