6 G3 {+ c4 B7 O' I" pTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM: 3 P% J8 d" w" l+ [9 D24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS ) @+ M4 A3 C2 D8 JThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.% \/ Z( s I, z Eligibility Criteria & g9 t; @0 O( }$ q: S) jAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:% S+ B7 {6 K8 l2 W
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less 3 c3 _7 |' P4 V$ \•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education j7 F( C/ z! s1 |) W3 ?•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English( z# P8 j" ]. s3 D. d( D
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada % j. d1 }! S7 {- G; o5 C' @•No prior Canadian work experience in their field H* B' Q/ E7 h! R, H9 x4 l•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less " t- p/ X2 V/ v/ s•Be eligible to work in Canada b: m$ W8 j' f6 B. P/ j8 _1 G
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop # E9 D! e# [& k7 X5 M# R5 |* P: N•Lack access to professional networks G# t" J+ Q5 {& ^+ C e•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning9 ^& U( W0 e+ F Time Commitment . ?* r0 D. Q1 ZThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.
