8 v( B2 h0 T( R5 s2 g% aEMCN works with a multi-cultural community to provide support to youth (ages 9 – 27) through mentorship, recreation and education.+ Q, e" f2 W, f/ A# t" K
1 w* m( H5 Y; k3 q3 S% EResponsibilities: build relationships with existing immigrant/refugee youth and their community; provide workshops or work with other agencies to provide workshops on racism, bullying, conflict resolution, leadership, public speaking and others advocate for immigrant youth in the community; creatively plan, organize and evaluate small group activities; support Settlement Practitioners in Schools in their work with families and schools through mentoring, educational sessions and other capacity building activities; learn about EMCN and other programs, services and resources for youth and families for referral.1 x2 p* e1 H' |5 ]4 K

Desired Skills, education/experience: strong commitment to providing quality services working in an intercultural environment; ability to document and complete reports in an accurate manner; facilitation skills required; development and delivery of workshops; ability to prioritize duties ,ability to perform a variety of diverse tasks; proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in languages other than English/French; experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet Usage; extensive evening and weekend work required.

: _9 ^4 ]" V& s& ]8 l* |! sEducation/Technical Skills: Post-secondary education, diploma or degree, preferably in Youth Development, Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, however work experience will be considered.
