Position Overview  
$ Z: m7 V' h3 l6 P- A8 I  ?9 A The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
$ A% T, J/ g+ \6 D. u6 c -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
% W, _" p# M  a5 c) a9 z- j$ {  F-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
9 p$ q. O2 L6 E/ _( a-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
0 N1 N) [. g3 y-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
7 Y# C% U* b1 I7 |% O' P& D! u-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
