/ `8 s' }5 z) e0 w- C  T The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
" l! [9 O* l1 x# w, r, K, [-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
2 X: i7 r. s1 Z, ~* C1 p-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

' p: B( g# Z' S; B3 M( q3 k$ u/ ~0 X - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
" B& N, ?$ r9 m9 v7 V6 j- V-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
" N' Y' E8 l* F' m$ _$ a! j- V-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
