) ?2 \/ |4 E* o: p- i# F The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

9 A# z) P0 K2 G6 O -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
+ {$ W* X, O% O% s. b4 w+ \$ g; m-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
* }; @- A' q% P! m0 B$ C-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
5 Z* A; S) d7 e1 h-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
3 p3 M" U& P# L& H-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

- R& D" M4 }2 `3 F1 w, N+ s: y4 c Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
6 D( ?* x! m" n! l-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
6 S5 c, R! m9 C9 u5 q  ^-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
( e' t: }( Z; ^- T1 J& X+ n-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
2 `- n/ b; W4 Q. S$ ]-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
