Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.: a. ~& x* a- k1 A" d

) g9 {3 v* M& N) ~Responsibilities:: W& S8 Z7 |- a3 i! S0 L
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
5 J! B" c. M) H. _& q1 V) I5 V2 K- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
/ t5 m( _, C {( K9 Q- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
7 B; T. S5 l) O. m- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
/ w! S# \9 c& c- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
V4 b. m6 O3 a" E1 \- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences& V) y- ^7 g* D) V9 B5 _ U" N
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
4 I) C! D) k/ s- T" ]/ p1 V3 ?- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
! C# L( B7 }' M) F: p4 j% a9 _- Experience doing program development/ h* N" }0 j" j# r& @
- Strong organizational and coordination skills1 L( q7 A; I+ _' V4 Q
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
! t* P2 n4 C/ `; b: T- y+ @. ]" L- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
# _' U/ @& t q: k" G, ?% }- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation$ e! S4 T7 ]8 ]) N; Q0 U7 ?& v
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
