Responsibilities:& D) ]3 N7 f9 N) E5 G
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
o3 s6 r" b c d- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
; S/ Z- ~$ N! c e6 {1 _- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups+ B9 ~; y+ ]! n- b4 j
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
1 T& o; M p4 H x+ z+ J; Z* D8 k6 q- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

! k. r) y, Q5 v- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
) d3 m, b* z0 G- R* A8 y( g: V; y/ i' X- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
7 ` k- G8 `3 `! w' B- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others; Y$ m- F& Z- Y {
- Experience doing program development
! U6 ~' R5 M8 \- Strong organizational and coordination skills. j$ m( t4 K, I) H, ]
- Self-directed and able to take initiative, \3 j/ a% I4 \- W; \: N( J
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset1 q& J9 c& B) b+ E5 ?
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license* {7 y6 O$ O9 Y- w) J
( E. t+ i/ F- Q' a

- Skills in marketing & promotions
