Responsibilities:
2 i) G% N' {- c* { q9 p- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth* }; \. a4 @, y6 ]. i7 G7 |+ P
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling: d ^% |5 O8 P
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups4 E1 S9 E9 ~( z9 }
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
! b; W; d4 }! W G9 z" [- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

& w- h N; k7 G+ _: k" Y9 v* R4 P) Y/ C; f1 s9 w2 D
Key Qualifications:
5 M" I7 S) t8 Z0 m3 L, Y/ p' Z- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
2 S* k/ y& W$ g0 I/ `5 }0 e# {; D' j3 M- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement' n9 D; D0 M( P- h# a' k, e
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
) T0 K8 C3 ~# d' R- Experience doing program development% ^. g1 b# K3 F7 S1 [
- Strong organizational and coordination skills5 P! h' r5 k* y
- Self-directed and able to take initiative3 |* O5 ]' E2 O& `" H
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation

- Skills in marketing & promotions
