We are seeking a post-doctoral candidate with expertise in protein identification and mass spectrometry to participate in an ongoing research plan examining protein profiling and biomarker identification in small fish models as a means for chemical toxicity characterization.

1 C4 o- p8 }5 N! j* X. cOur research is focused on the application of molecular techniques to link chemical mode of action (MOA) specific protein expression patterns to common toxicity endpoints, identify protein biomarkers associated with chemical pathway specific toxicity, develop in vitro diagnostic models for classifying chemicals by their protein signatures and determining if multivariate protein expression models can delineate multiple chemical MOAs associated with exposure to chemical mixtures. Research products from these studies will provide information necessary to distinguish biologically relevant changes in key toxicity pathways for use in the chemical hazard evaluation process.

Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have demonstrated expertise in protein/peptide chemistry and biochemistry especially as related to protein detection using mass spectrometry, HPLC separation, or protein/peptide identification.
