Assists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
8 f/ S. h. b  N, n  nMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
- p7 t, x* q! K/ W7 d0 q/ c* ~6 aMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
! ~" z+ ~' n& ~6 vParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
2 n2 R8 R" V7 ~' e9 S3 m$ KMust have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
Computer skills an asset.

Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
