Any input on Cutler-Hammer Starter?

2 l- D$ R3 U5 m2 fTwo  cutler –hammer advantage  starters are  doing the same thing:
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the  start and stop buttons on DCS screen  , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

% k/ m8 Q0 P# }$ o% H' oWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
/ X, d' o; Y( L8 }# ~5 OSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
( h1 e& r$ p0 f) _The problem should be inside the bucket.

7 \3 f% a2 S. ^2 VWhen the problem happened, we observed that  the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
  R6 z4 L2 N; y+ b  XUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we  bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

$ K3 r  S/ X# V1 M7 q, GThe next thing we can think of  is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
, C/ x8 ?# m" y* VThey  have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered  the connection and tried again.
It is getting better  this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.

Don't know cutler –hammer advantage  starters very well, but had been worked on AB switch gears for a little while, which has two different coils, one to pull the vacum bottles up which employs larger current, another one uses less current to hold the connection---if the second coil fails, it won't be able to seal the connection.
Since your cutler -hammer works couple times,  I guess 侠客行 is right, or the sealing connection is just worn out.
