Responsibilities: To coordinate the Immigrant Women Asset Building Program; To work as part of a holistic team and with the cultural community to recruit participants, provide service delivery and evaluate the program. Staff and the cultural community will provide on-going support and direction to participants under the leadership of the Program Coordinator; To deliver and evaluate the program; To supervise staff and volunteers; To case manage the participants in the program by developing Capacity Mapping for immigrant women and ensuring a Portfolio Development experience.; \ H3 s0 K5 x
$ ^ f3 H- @( `5 L4 ^PLUS: To support immigrant women in the development of social networks and community supports, including outreach (home visits), if needed; To advocate on the participants’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers; To ensure financial coordination and compliance of the program; To ensure documentation coordination of the program; report writing and the gathering of statistical information. & J( v8 ?0 L$ X6 m2 r- y& ]
3 b! \7 P3 _) G# u5 USkills & Experience: Demonstrates strong initiative & commitment to providing quality services working in an intercultural environment with immigrant women; Experience in holistic case management;
& M$ ?6 W/ E9 O2 {Experience working in multi-disciplinary/collaborative environment; Knowledge of Asset Based Approach, Portfolio and Leadership Development; Ability to manage time effectively, flexibility/open-minded; Ability to perform a variety of diverse tasks; Proficiency in both official languages is an asset, as is fluency in languages other than English/French; Ability to create a team/work collaboratively with other colleagues & other service providers; Ability to research; library, internet; Evening/weekend work required.
