Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
9 V9 z7 w& }: e- M. d6 m-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

2 z* r1 v  G" T5 ^, X4 k-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
/ _/ d) |: l1 z1 I-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
+ F8 i& t, M" Q% R-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
, v! i; u7 B% ^5 `2 Q) j-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

+ k, T9 x- ~" A: ~: a-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
