Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

# @7 ~# }0 J# O: kResponsibilities:
! O( v& S5 i6 m! m6 g+ W. }-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
- g9 F9 C2 o" \& c-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
0 g( p* Z+ s9 {$ V. X0 z; Z1 j-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
& z. Z: n: ~) v$ O  w-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
9 A$ i6 F/ U- V! M; C6 A8 q) b% u" o-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
- a6 A) ?; i4 J2 s+ @" a6 Y-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
1 X/ _2 p% O, Q# \4 k9 m/ a  `-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
4 f! D) v, D- x' X5 S-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
6 _  D' U9 B. l! L0 K4 A-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
( K& Q, }; q" O) s( n-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
$ Z; {  ^$ H, L-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
