Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

' n3 a8 c4 b: w" p! ^" D- q5 aResponsibilities:
* @/ u$ \! }$ t2 h/ m3 |-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
7 \& g+ }8 y( q-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
5 Y: i- E% K, d; V  o0 A/ o-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
; ~) q8 {3 b' r1 j' ~/ Y# `-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
/ z! g: H) U" r-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
* k9 |" u0 ~4 @+ w* }# J4 k-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
( I0 m8 X: [5 n3 u( c( B-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
