Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

! S; T" ~" E. d- }& p3 mResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

! e  L3 o6 |8 m% K  z! dQualifications:
5 n2 U$ w4 n& H-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
, c' r- S3 e1 F0 N: W, Q: F-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
2 ?* Z: e  Y" e3 R( p-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
/ g) g3 A1 K0 e# V1 ~1 V' n7 R-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
% U# C9 p0 E' G4 ^5 S-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
. E1 L; h; S' c% m- u, K) g-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010

Salary
