Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
. P* W& n* a# `* @6 U/ \-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
# |* w+ U# j- I: M8 q-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
5 |( t4 |  @0 J  S-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
; W4 F  l* ]2 m# ^  B. f% O8 V-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
$ i7 J1 }6 F& A0 R' o6 i-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
2 J# d" h& |8 T0 y% j% z- C-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
) ~1 I% @" X' w% P8 P-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
