Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

- Z6 E6 W/ {( X0 d9 H8 |  N1 o; {Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
: s- k. c3 j0 E-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
+ y7 I+ y$ }3 D2 l+ M1 X: q! v  T-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
1 @% \0 p1 c6 A+ t9 V-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
0 Q% y# R6 u, U+ m-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
; o/ I4 l: s$ p6 A- Y( _-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
' x- H4 m$ }# F2 T, c1 R-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
0 ~4 n# J( k) }3 N-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
. o1 a( w* `6 v3 \) B-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
