Summer Job Opportunity for
5 A# r: }0 E' @- vChildren’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
& T) v! J% H/ r6 c-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
3 K2 K/ t# a/ {. s1 u-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

. t8 L( V( r/ \% P2 ~1 f5 m3 A0 WQualifications:
  v) p* Z- @0 v: Z% X2 v$ _4 X-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
2 t7 R2 P5 P7 _7 C2 R* J5 T$ o-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
8 d- x) o) p' z-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
+ B$ O2 x) F+ X3 }- d( L-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
- v+ m6 X5 B1 Q" C+ n9 H6 y-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
1 Y) [$ k$ q" w1 ^. g5 L-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

Other Information:
. y- U" w7 S9 g$ r, [+ P-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
