Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

7 E  s3 G' ?/ h$ IResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
! g* Z1 ^: b8 w8 P-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
3 W9 M/ P6 l  P; q6 R/ b-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
- y# Y4 O' K+ B7 E9 ~-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
/ F1 Q/ l: T3 I9 C6 B1 V-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
0 K1 T2 U5 i6 s$ h2 U4 _6 D8 J+ K-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  f- \( |8 z) q! `( x3 F% g-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
% d+ M1 Y( t% u6 P. @9 H- l-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

-        $14.00 per hour
