Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

$ P" C& g- B# w% Q6 y" MResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
" x! b* r7 E8 H. M-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
# {9 u8 \- D2 d+ H1 L7 s-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

7 I7 a/ F! G5 uQualifications:
. M4 q: |+ N/ A-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
2 k: G  y8 S- |1 }8 I-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
3 A+ g% s9 y: P9 m! k$ s3 H-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
0 L; Q, v! @3 p) t" ?! ^+ k-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
0 D- W4 F2 X. l8 ]% F' }& t1 m-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
4 l/ Z- [) Y% _* d- y7 t-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

Other Information:
3 [# S0 d4 ~/ V$ g6 c( x( W- I-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
