Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
% y2 F! J5 j6 f# r2 [-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
  B! C0 R4 y2 V( Z4 k; Q-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
# r  @+ l( c$ S4 L4 ~-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
2 I3 B4 P1 T+ ~1 i9 }7 G0 w# y-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
1 ]) [7 s! P& N' H  u-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

Other Information:
$ i' z7 n# r5 Y. ^# X9 M-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
