Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
! N* e4 |8 B* v  Q0 j+ A1 L# W4 i-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
! L; V/ s9 M5 ~-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
9 f0 }$ A& u2 `  q8 k-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
/ k$ k5 O+ M) o' X-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
. Y! l! `4 @# @5 T0 X-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
8 Y; ]6 n* i+ }& u' P-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
9 n4 Z3 R1 R! ?3 R+ R- i-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
0 S; L4 n. A9 s5 H/ a' M-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
