Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

$ J( S3 f! ^/ A# i% S2 A8 vResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
; \7 |/ l- m, i6 p-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
+ L0 n; V6 g) p. T6 x" O3 z-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
8 n$ [1 I. R; [0 O4 f* @/ d0 P; ~-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
8 r$ [- {7 D& w- Q-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
4 P/ d* x5 \( h5 c$ _+ }-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
( y% |" c  }/ J" V0 ?( c2 i: E-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

4 d2 D$ n% j3 c5 ~-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
