Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

- `3 M" N9 }3 ]( A; z2 L3 R( @Responsibilities:
( H, l% R% Y, v! _! o-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
7 q" w) a  ]6 D! H-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
! {5 F) Y- t8 {5 n" F-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
. W4 L5 U2 l5 ^" z6 ]5 U-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
# v1 X* F0 j" W; `3 c* x( A3 g8 A4 m-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
) y1 _/ X- z8 J7 y5 J-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
7 f* r7 A* P7 m-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
