Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

3 K) J9 S) T. e; `2 ~: ?2 _3 ~Responsibilities:
. D" K0 n2 w+ ]( ^* p-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
+ M4 I' l7 f/ a-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
: b5 t/ t& C# N! G% ?-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
2 r6 T* A$ n0 J. g+ w4 [-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
/ U9 k3 E- f, m- F+ ?* M-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
8 P5 w5 u5 p' {* o-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
