Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

& j2 R: f4 Y6 o# z) u7 c9 y9 p3 @Responsibilities:
1 y( w# g% y+ B$ ^-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

( s! ^2 @& x! tQualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
$ S& F, l8 F: I) o- u* z: M3 f-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
+ m* D: I7 w: c- \' M. x0 E4 m-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

8 X+ {! C! F% b& b6 i' Z5 V/ |-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
