Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
9 }! T) K! f5 V0 z6 l1 m. _-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
1 Y$ Z, L+ `! w5 Z-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
* m6 Q; c; h* w-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager
7 H# Z+ o% H4 I# E% F( f, Z
Qualifications:
9 _/ T& Q/ {4 j* L' G  E/ q-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
8 }  O" S7 V# P0 y: g: p% l! ~+ e-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
/ k" H- L, \. r% l+ Y-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
! ?) m9 x5 O# |9 J9 s% \-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
' u5 r2 b  o' L3 T$ i-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
3 G- b# R: x2 ]: p; w  j-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

5 r2 q3 t- K* u/ X-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
