Summer Job Opportunity for
+ c- ?8 k; p$ y& ?" gChildren’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
5 A5 J& }- R( @9 Q. u0 t-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
7 q' w2 |0 G- o% D) j' l  T-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

6 ~3 \! p) e. o9 sQualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
$ |9 N+ g- j8 d- |4 E-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
, o4 }. i; m& n" E) a* i4 x& u' \( p-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
$ S% s& K) \- J+ V% k-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
