Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

' G, v! V/ e/ ~( f0 J" f% e% uResponsibilities:
/ ^6 f2 t1 x5 b$ w# i: V- P-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
5 w/ d; g- {0 ]( b4 t-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
: L, W% g. Z& @5 ^3 H-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
* s- u* A2 k' r7 T* P$ q% j/ c-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
5 }0 L( z5 ?3 o-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
  h* j- Y2 e! c, h; Q% }1 X-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
6 J* h, W4 n3 ^- V" i-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
3 v1 o5 M# R/ G1 @  Q; `  J1 i-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
, V& U# G$ X! ~-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

) N7 {. g9 u% V9 u0 d8 E, \3 f-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010

-        $14.00 per hour
