Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
( N4 Y+ ~( f3 x/ f% ~" G2 j-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
, M( T& }4 q$ ~, {/ ~0 F* V' N" \+ g-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
- N! t$ }7 z  w  i-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
- l9 U5 A" V! L' K( Z& B' I# Z-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
7 |5 `  Y, Z7 j9 W7 X: E4 p4 i7 f-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

6 P% a1 M. f' A4 l. x% g' k$ L-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
