Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

# S. m( n6 \; M: HResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
0 k. P& k; {' \7 C, H2 ]; M- A+ W-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
8 T0 M, a. |) P0 H-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
$ Q9 O( I! u- x3 V( v( P; H+ n-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
8 m' t$ x, F& A  s$ ^: G7 b-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
9 a5 n& g) r; Q5 G9 b5 H" \6 _8 W+ c-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
; ~) {5 W. K# X: [2 h  @-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
6 J: d) z; C* c-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
* e; G/ }& {+ z-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
. m7 t6 e1 o: X: L' w-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
& n6 L$ b7 U. v& I) E0 h" R( U( s-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
) n6 w: Y. s2 s# h, r' X! y0 d0 ~' S-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
