Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
& G' D  F# f* K$ [' w-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
* L7 Q* y) ?$ ]3 |# }-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

+ W4 j; \5 w; c  H- aQualifications:
5 }4 T+ P: f0 S& J-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
- }4 J1 R: ]! L# E-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
1 J+ P" V" y0 }-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
+ Q4 W5 D+ W* p-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
, |' p* K& P6 V' W$ r-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
/ Y& }4 Q( ]! H-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
