Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
! ^) j* x2 c" L/ I6 a: M7 [-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
0 r& k9 |: A" T' m-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

1 ?8 E/ U( e+ t+ l  xQualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
  T. m/ }6 J* q. h-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
' v8 l+ ^$ o# \- u( h; F-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
4 x4 j0 J, O+ R4 ~-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

-        $14.00 per hour
