Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

, T: X3 G2 F$ {6 d6 q7 Q" j8 a-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
8 l) x1 p* }3 ~, D-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
- r5 U0 ~0 a( T! c-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
2 L' L' [: p: h- r-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
  {5 O' j3 P# V5 v) s6 `  E$ R& [& Q-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
0 F5 B3 d" `6 ?/ {9 z-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
  e  {" ]8 s" z9 S6 _-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
' B( R0 q( x' N-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
! N& D& ]2 V# X1 |$ k/ p-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
; l% g* o" o- P: w- _-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
