Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
7 y' i0 C4 K- Z& k2 T* d3 g% p/ {-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
2 f6 V. R3 }! Y& G6 ^-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
. f/ C, B0 r4 F-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
0 d: w! E- O: P- y-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

5 M% Z0 e$ v, X4 a! N" vQualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
1 Z# |& ]! \# o1 J-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
& c* a, N0 z$ E' w; G. c. G" ]-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
& a, w; N$ C7 r: w2 i- y-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

8 k1 U) _- a( i: \1 {-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
