Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
% L) u( s$ S- X+ ^$ h& t# E' y-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
- J  y: n) {2 ~* h( d: f-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
9 P1 p( Y, S: o; h) K# ~: z-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
, E; c# D* a3 j; m3 h-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
4 i  j2 I  P0 W7 ^( _-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
7 b/ D2 J8 Y0 _7 p2 g; }! N; k-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
0 i. o* A% c) ]( Z6 c-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

0 V' r3 T4 B" F" s-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
