Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

* n5 q5 T/ Z+ u, t$ [. w8 kResponsibilities:
3 i* i/ ^6 C) n: s-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
" {4 {, G& c: ^: j; C/ e-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
. Y2 \- `4 ~  x# b* U4 Y( J, q-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
" k7 N- B/ A* j; N-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
/ w7 ~1 a8 O4 s; D-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
' |" u& Y7 M! G; Q& e5 f-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
8 k+ Y) {% l# S-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
$ F$ F  V: Z4 q6 d-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
2 v- @# \& T2 c" W5 M! C% i-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
5 b3 j$ t, B+ ]/ [( z& B9 Z-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

( ~5 \4 k3 L# y7 s-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
