Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

' n- U- H& a  }( x( X& ?0 Q+ xResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
& H2 h) T3 K" K5 }-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
# A5 v2 |$ i: `-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
' O* x# E1 d- x* H-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager
) B2 w0 d$ d: ~( U, _0 |9 x
Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
+ y0 O- C1 S# M3 m( T- V-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
6 ^) Z& Z5 n0 F) r" E+ ^$ f% d-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
1 y! t6 y) Q  U* P4 z5 O* O( d-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
2 R5 l  `% O% L0 z; s1 l  v1 ^-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
