Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

+ w3 S# k3 y6 a+ vResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
* B2 |  }' x4 O9 J$ w-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
. w! ?1 \5 {& y1 C3 E-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
" k1 O" B/ W# w3 _-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
! @3 ?$ W0 v3 Y9 c, Y-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
) t* B  ?' U9 l. U/ P( y! `-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
2 ^- U) P, V6 j& u-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
9 Y: o) ~$ w$ M-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
% ]  j% J1 e, r5 k/ J-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
6 R, d) k: S) k+ \-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

- Q6 p1 F8 s6 N& h% H6 K! L-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
