Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

8 W) C- ~4 B  ^* [+ O0 a3 I" e- zResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
5 G( v8 L$ i. k- H& t2 s% b-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

! ?4 _  W; g9 f7 z9 N& zQualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
0 t4 s8 B( x" @$ [/ ?2 ~4 j3 M-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
, T. h/ Q/ W# y* t-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

& Q  b; H( @( u1 `: q2 \-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
