Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

" R: V# ]/ }/ qResponsibilities:
2 x0 S7 Y" ?7 G-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
. C& S. d' R3 e0 q$ [0 C8 L$ F# H-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
9 M: f% V* o1 H-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
$ a0 }# H2 B7 ]8 F" j-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
& j6 A0 Q* c3 f. V$ M$ }: f: R-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
0 v! Y6 v" y. @! D9 N4 H-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

* m% [, Y( E+ B-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010
