Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
2 z5 c9 a0 S0 |5 @( K-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
5 z; I; [" t8 I9 B% T. x-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
8 m- P# i. e1 L& s0 L1 b-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
/ N* g, C+ D2 M: g) o" P; e/ A4 b-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
" x% I0 J; ?. i- X8 ]-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
4 M$ }. g0 A/ C-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
' c5 t" d4 \- K# _+ `( L-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
, p6 L, b5 s8 V3 u; x" v# q( Z# S-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
