Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
2 D( J* ]: U" `: p4 a- a-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
% ^! _; n. ^/ M' b9 A-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
$ x4 X" |( f( M1 |-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
5 _+ S! X$ Z3 A0 h6 F8 a$ n. a-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
$ t" D7 \) r6 C3 Z2 r, Q-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
) x( h9 w9 `/ X-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
0 Y( D" K/ M( B/ b8 o7 p-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
: C8 {/ _; A; @9 ~; M: @) Y-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
9 |7 Q( t+ B! B) _! n# ^-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
) n. L) q4 Y9 k-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

! A5 f+ d% H. T3 H. p6 _! W-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
