Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

% j: z3 ?5 e, qResponsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

! A3 j/ \) O; h. E) G( cQualifications:
# [1 _. l! e2 g% [& w-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
5 k6 H2 M5 V/ s-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
/ b  M- s7 O4 O0 g5 p-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
7 W# P+ p9 }+ ^+ T+ h-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

: a( t" s- }1 c; p/ a-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
