Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
4 o/ M& x' W# p-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
- Z" x# q+ ^9 T  j7 E" U-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

5 }9 a% ^% y; J  ZQualifications:
2 V1 @9 a6 j6 v. |-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
3 [' w( ?$ F; d* A6 D- _% R-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
! [( d, n9 }) V2 u  _8 Y: ~-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
- x# q( W1 g! d% e/ E# I-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
9 z' l. q: A3 L-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
: h% G3 y6 X, L9 g  F& z, C! l3 q  I& B-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- S  x; A& S6 g! L-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

. W, f3 b& p: t-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
