Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
9 N) g$ s* M2 P* A3 ^! i. O-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
% z2 }1 W* B, L* g-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
4 |( i* D: j) U8 N* T! A-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager
( i; @" b# J! Q; k, z/ g* z$ B. l
) h, a& H+ m# }! zQualifications:
9 {3 E! H* @) J) D-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
5 |" o+ ]( p$ p% |6 h6 t-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
% i5 |. n" @0 a- H6 K' \6 P% d-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
) q$ ]  V" @( Z! n& o-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
