Summer Job Opportunity for
Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
2 \, G5 ]: W9 j  }1 Y-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
4 f8 A9 f' S  B' m0 r' ~# m-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
6 k) \3 D' f6 b-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

4 o8 f6 I% i, `" ?" X0 oQualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
, f+ q' A* d4 U& k-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
& d  b8 M, W; G& `- u0 P-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
: r0 B! C4 S, Q8 @  I-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
