are distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas

pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then ; m2 @# t) v" x7 i
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can 7 p  r* j1 _3 \" G2 o/ t
smartly avoid it?7 v) J, K( D1 \! U
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out , Q( v( p6 y4 R4 Y6 o+ i! I
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
7 m4 N+ l# R, B* _* xto be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of 9 G+ e+ l6 h' \9 m* H
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a % d. y( c! l4 J" g& ]% n& D

are offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays

% y4 B5 P& Q0 P6 m( brelaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower. 0 P! h, l" x) B& q) R. f
?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
* l2 z9 v3 L, ~) `6 H. xsubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with , {# I& f8 L% j4 C: [/ E
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, : u" N+ L& _; F) i( [  [
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
1 Q& [1 l0 x2 jtell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into / W" x9 ?6 g' G9 i8 O  c! E
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will

?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies 8 J/ \8 E. @. w2 Q; q
and candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating 4 c9 L* X9 G2 a
healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
* b" V  B1 L" }2 w) k& @' hupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate 4 L/ }7 ~' e8 X/ w$ a+ `
candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies. . |. k4 ~# z6 Q9 M! A! ?. T4 a
It's interesting to note that in a poll sponsored by the National Confectioners 7 I/ {# @: x9 ~! t, g+ l" e
