therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a
: f. W+ p/ v% [* h) l0 F) Jpleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then
# n( S+ T, j! r: f( e3 Y$ Peat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can 8 H8 Q0 c  T; |' a# Q
smartly avoid it?
, \5 _% d) X1 }: F?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out
" _% \1 v( H  }" @at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
3 |2 s4 r/ E# ~' ?to be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of % Y: c1 f/ D$ I8 `5 C5 d$ L& L- @! f
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a
- W5 w. P( r& [( ?+ ~Budget.'

risk appearing like the Grinch who stole Christmas if your response will always
' U1 s+ Z) Q% X6 I. bbe something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
- F! U0 ~' x+ _; {9 s% iare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays 4 ~; M; }! u5 i! ]$ a2 U3 e
especially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more 0 |1 d- ~4 c6 t5 T
relaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower.
) v6 m. b! }4 `/ T* |3 m?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to   E) s2 R0 P, |8 c! M4 w3 ]( ~3 |
substitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with & }, m. c: b. K1 _3 d
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie,
& h, i) i9 s) N4 n; r: R! ~from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
5 `) e6 C. C, m3 _tell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into . ^; \' D! K5 I
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will
' j4 `" I5 J6 [be watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or
) B' n0 a7 Q+ u* P6 f/ \a cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are * @. Z+ B4 K; u. k# o
heartily enjoying the holiday treats.?
2 p: z; W7 T% }4 B+ p?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies
4 c6 g# A0 v; Qand candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating % I8 t1 H8 E; K7 r6 e$ T4 n
healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down . I+ U3 I% o# R/ e% ^
upon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate / q; t( F5 h+ D
candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies. ! ^+ Y' C1 Y& P
It's interesting to note that in a poll sponsored by the National Confectioners

For an occasion such as a Christmas party or a dinner, including Christmas
" }, ~: e. m- `6 B) uDinner, where larger quantities and selection of food is available, the 'Eating
* d6 R* }! Y  gon a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected ' E2 F) A/ e. J$ _
should be carefully watched.
  D  M6 s" b- R. H% Y9 }At a party where more desserts and sweets are likely to be available, a few of * Z2 J; F4 v4 }6 v  V9 C5 B
the selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted,
% X; T' j/ x9 f$ [then do so, but then second helpings have to be severely limited. The same is 2 x2 W- s/ B, h
somewhat true for Christmas Dinners. One big difference is that the food served
8 [3 d5 {4 E* q  K" R- Nduring Christmas Dinner will be heavier, so by selecting portions wisely,air max tn, one

% e" x( E- y; e9 G5 oAnd indeed,juicy couture shoes, after a sumptuous Holiday Dinner, your body is likely to be full
