What Makes Christmas Magical

are distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas 4 e* }4 f6 H' I: S
therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a
0 X4 s' u5 c. p  c; s. dpleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then : p5 e' k9 D1 U8 Y3 g0 H
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can 6 v8 p7 \8 {/ ~1 @# U" n
smartly avoid it?# x' v( y: M$ U4 E# I* ]
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out , T$ L- d. P3 ^/ z
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem 0 v9 r: |# `/ Z) r" o+ j, }
to be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of
  {$ p' B2 b3 W2 [moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a
* B0 l  o5 I3 e* ZBudget.'2 u! x( ?& R* ?; x+ X+ x

8 T# b: Y# I" g* ybe something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
( h3 W& P/ m3 ^$ P. z5 w: `5 ~; Aare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays 3 w6 U( U) P# |6 q* h
especially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more
# }: q5 E' C. ~$ W: J/ m9 E+ Hrelaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower. / x, ~/ G) Z3 ?% G. u4 ~, i+ }
?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to 0 @: E1 Y" w! K0 e: l" x
substitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with
' o0 a& M8 D" ~' p% abreakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie,   \( k3 I# m+ Z
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
& R. ]! V5 |; E3 P  Htell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into 4 g* V% Y4 N; O- E4 m, w4 B8 n
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will
6 X4 [$ X: u2 ^- {9 Bbe watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or % ~* z7 F+ a1 c  v3 p
a cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are

?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies 3 o: z" U2 S+ g$ Z# I4 S" ~( e
and candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating 5 {- g$ F0 X8 W9 C3 q
healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down 1 x, T% R9 f/ J& ^
upon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate
6 e" O" u" [. @+ i$ J& _; G2 r  Acandies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.

Dinner, where larger quantities and selection of food is available, the 'Eating
/ Z3 a+ W5 ~; g2 o, B5 jon a Budget' plan means that serving portions and the choice of food selected ! e" b$ M% h( E% K4 U( f
should be carefully watched. " \7 U5 j' W! ?: J
At a party where more desserts and sweets are likely to be available, a few of
; K. \  j/ l) n+ v( Lthe selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted,
" Y# i$ T: Q% |6 F. Qthen do so, but then second helpings have to be severely limited. The same is 5 n) ^& M( D. u, M
somewhat true for Christmas Dinners. One big difference is that the food served ' Z0 c' ~+ ^! h, F$ Z
during Christmas Dinner will be heavier, so by selecting portions wisely,air max tn, one $ d7 p7 u  i6 d2 P

And indeed,juicy couture shoes, after a sumptuous Holiday Dinner, your body is likely to be full - e" `% J  v3 d) }; V! c* m

tradition with family, friends and loved ones.
