What Makes Christmas Magical

During the Christmas season, summer and its body-conscious state of mind

therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a $ y9 Z6 b4 y% c8 V# J
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then 2 \2 H6 w( }$ D, O; n# |
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can
4 a# }$ y: N6 Qsmartly avoid it?: S% f0 t# t+ Q. R4 k: O
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out
6 ?) c: ?* N; [. M) p6 l  d6 s" ?at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem * w7 z- d/ m4 K; F
to be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of
8 v4 X( O: ?- P: Q( N7 Dmoderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a
! b  u, R( ~9 Z; H# C0 TBudget.'* d3 n0 d0 C, i* m3 l

risk appearing like the Grinch who stole Christmas if your response will always 9 o4 `* u; J/ ?$ d0 m- M8 m( f. h
be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
# e: {0 s" @; {! Q. E3 R2 }& |; w/ Sare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays . @7 W, a; r+ Q% O  P9 W: c
especially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more ( ^$ K0 s) G4 M7 I9 }; I
relaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower. * m3 F) ]/ q* n, @
?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to 0 Y( B, o$ K, n2 d2 O; G
substitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with 2 `" o3 G( Y% q  C' s$ [
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, - G4 V. M8 O! {) \& N
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
6 b) z8 n5 C4 m7 ]+ [; ctell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into
/ I3 g$ h5 r5 O4 G4 i$ J# v# Y4 Nplay. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will ; e- j# G  |2 F1 l. j$ |% Y' ?
be watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or - {' @- V* b/ g7 I! V
a cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are

1 B* @3 S. ~" Y( e! }healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
  b- o5 I; j' x7 J3 Y3 Vupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate
! w3 k$ j+ Q, m% i: |candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.
' k* y. [* k1 z$ j8 r) c; N. e& SIt's interesting to note that in a poll sponsored by the National Confectioners ) p; Z* B% o2 x+ p: K

should be carefully watched.

) v' ?, Y% m" h+ a; V, B8 Jthe selections can be sampled. If the urge to try everything can't be resisted, 1 {# w& h! }( |1 `' t
then do so, but then second helpings have to be severely limited. The same is ; @& z5 r, d0 N
somewhat true for Christmas Dinners. One big difference is that the food served + a% z, f7 J" z$ d6 Y  F
during Christmas Dinner will be heavier, so by selecting portions wisely,air max tn, one , P7 q/ p- ?- p4 R
can always say truthfully that the stomach is full. 8 O, x" D# X) |) A* c; ]
And indeed,juicy couture shoes, after a sumptuous Holiday Dinner, your body is likely to be full
