What Makes Christmas Magical

pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then 3 Z4 T/ R1 o9 W# t) B2 x
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can * u3 J, k6 X- H' ?8 m
smartly avoid it?

6 q' H* o# Z* U+ A5 r5 Rat a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem
0 C0 k1 \' t8 s; z6 R9 @1 O5 x0 cto be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of - D9 _# D( j- l) g0 H0 H0 ]: v
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a 6 j6 i) W1 J) p2 m" g: a/ ?

to a lot of cookies, candies and other sweets at Christmas. At work, you may / \7 \$ x' |8 W) k% N
risk appearing like the Grinch who stole Christmas if your response will always ! L% c$ y9 m% X) `* F' s
be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
9 W- J! h. q  L; z: }2 zare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays
7 E, \# g: \3 `% g! Bespecially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more
/ Z+ _- e  t9 U; `relaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower.
9 U9 H2 f3 o$ V?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to 8 L, g4 M4 O4 J: w
substitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with
5 V' i/ n0 A7 |; zbreakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, " Q7 k! N- @2 Q3 j9 i) W9 [1 E
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
0 r/ |4 c2 o8 h+ A2 _4 |6 Ttell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into $ |2 g0 g1 i9 q6 F+ [- v8 H; w
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will - U8 w# J8 `. ~) j+ k2 s
be watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or

and candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating

upon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate 7 S$ y. C  ~2 ^
candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.

then do so, but then second helpings have to be severely limited. The same is
