What Makes Christmas Magical

are distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas 1 c3 l1 E+ g* u4 \6 ?
therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a 0 P3 j8 b- [  Q7 g; D4 q6 Z& D; N
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then , K% F# H: Z' ~% n& i
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can
* p8 ]/ l5 ]1 V& s! d: nsmartly avoid it?
( \2 j" C5 x$ I9 n! e9 p?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out ' e/ R8 s9 \& Z: C8 v* e5 A) h
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem ( g8 `! b5 I! C" ?. P
to be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of $ e: m7 X9 Q6 j' x
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a
9 k: m& n5 H& k6 p: q. \Budget.'# A1 L6 p# y2 ~; J; @

risk appearing like the Grinch who stole Christmas if your response will always , U  r  V( k- C) D
be something like, 'Uh..no..bah humbug' all the time that some Christmas goodies
! C/ E2 s0 R: Y) I& {  zare offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays
/ a6 h5 e! e; z: b: ^9 O  U3 Tespecially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more . t) |: d) M0 C# Z6 f( v0 S
relaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower. ( |4 c* w, i) Y! @  D1 S' ?5 {, G
?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
4 ^+ n/ H% |$ D( k) {# A2 n7 h/ I# Y# bsubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with
+ ^8 b/ l  L$ b! b" Sbreakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, " \( Y! p7 K. E
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to ) C7 J# ^- k( Y6 X6 _& O+ w8 q
tell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into 7 K' [$ T- s1 _
play. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will
; h* _% A$ f& y$ Rbe watching how you really eat. You can always have a few candies, one cookie or 0 W6 n, |: ?, x* U
a cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are , @$ T! @* X8 M) Z) \* w
heartily enjoying the holiday treats.?
% U. K$ Y: E8 |. Z# u?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies
- C! g( g/ _/ L1 D) aand candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating ) Y, A  V6 z  \# c* c
healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down . [% x8 d- E; ~( p
upon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate % F+ ]6 e; H* w" A
candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies. # h) i9 ?+ `2 H; `! ^

during Christmas Dinner will be heavier, so by selecting portions wisely,air max tn, one
