What Makes Christmas Magical

therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a * n& |$ U& h3 r8 Z0 b( p& g4 M% g
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then . r3 @+ D3 k5 `, M
eat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can : i' c9 a, z  h+ m
smartly avoid it?
* |1 E8 A& R( ]1 t?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out 2 W% l3 `) U* F+ W3 I# I$ Z' ?
at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem ' t- x( \  l4 ^+ Z$ l) X5 \  ]8 _
to be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of & H: ~* m& q, h9 F2 U
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a

?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
/ ~$ l8 C) E& i7 C5 @( `, nsubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with
: V$ w  {% N/ u$ ^7 V8 m  pbreakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie,
# u# A8 U  G) s+ e. I, I: qfrom the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to
) [/ V' E  b, Btell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into
' V" _! I! E" F" A2 F6 Pplay. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will

a cookie and a half by your desk and that way it will seem as if you are

?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies 0 P+ o) J1 X  O3 L4 r
and candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating
0 ^& n; o& _1 Lhealthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down ; m0 t( D. ]; @3 @
upon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate 6 [5 x, m9 T6 Y0 m/ e( J3 u
candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.
