What Makes Christmas Magical

are distant memories. Hearty indulgence in the many foods shared at Christmas
: I" J6 q  S, S7 H* X; _therefore doesn't produce the same feelings of guilt. Nevertheless, its not a - I& m) L. K* {  K
pleasant thought to start the New Year carrying any extra pounds. So why then
2 J) C2 }4 d6 v# neat yourself into a resolution to 'take off a few extra pounds' if you can 6 U, T9 E5 L9 m& F& h
smartly avoid it?$ Q/ f9 K/ g# V/ {
?Whether it's sharing cookies and candies at work, or having an evening out
( N8 e1 u5 R% K. v. H: \- ?at a party or dinner, you can have Christmas food and enjoy it. While you seem ! X7 y/ C! n- `% m% e) t  n
to be eating heartily with a smile, the key is to have a secret strategy of * t7 G: e8 R: ~1 F3 _
moderation. It involves sticking to a plan that can be called 'Eating on a
5 d- K8 H! }; Z% A5 H" {Budget.'

are offered. It will seem as if you aren't in the spirit of the holidays 3 N1 m- _* A; C: U
especially since at that time of year everyone is usually in a festive and more
1 P9 q# o# Z7 b/ o( nrelaxed mood, and the pace at work is usually slower.
4 t  X- o5 H1 ^* T9 b) ]! K?A practical way to partake in Christmas goodies, for example, is to
- @# r, \! S' a: Y, Ssubstitute some holiday cookies for say the bagel that you usually have with ; Q: o. w+ J4 \$ O! x( t0 x
breakfast or for a mid-morning snack. And instead of just taking one cookie, ) o+ g: ^7 B+ Z! u7 m! X
from the platter, which is noticeable and likely will encourage a colleague to $ B7 ^$ @5 c* Z6 G; C8 C  R% K
tell you to have more, take three instead. That's where the plan can come into
6 n% |: J1 a" a0 p; O$ ~. Qplay. You can then enjoy the cookies over two or more hours,ed hardy hoodies, because nobody will

?Another strategy is to bring - bake or buy - low calorie Christmas cookies
2 X5 i" k3 T1 {: Q0 zand candies to work to counteract others that are being offered. Since eating % y6 V3 H' G5 |/ R# Z( t# b
healthy is highly encouraged, health-conscious cookies will not be looked down
+ K7 \) @5 l& q* J2 Lupon so long as they taste great. A box of sugar-free Christmas chocolate ! [9 G  n; ]" M( B0 P. Y
candies for example will look just as delightful as regular chocolate candies.

somewhat true for Christmas Dinners. One big difference is that the food served
