Primary Focus
* `" R( f" b: ^% @9 L As the successful candidate for this position you will provide legal secretarial services to Compliance, Ethics & Privacy Officer and Legal Counsel as required, in the Enbridge Pipelines Inc. Law & Regulatory Affairs Department, specifically the compliance section, with respect to administrative matters to ensure the efficient operation of compliance matters.

Provide timely, accurate and efficient administrative support while handling a high volume workload by drafting correspondence, standard form documents/policies/reports and power point presentations; attendance at committee meetings; preparation and circulation of meeting minutes and reports to Compliance Officer & executive, and transcribing dictation.

Support the efficient internal operation of Compliance Officer's files by creating and maintaining an organized, standardized and well-planned filing system to ensure that files and information therein are easily accessible. ) G! D9 P2 T! U9 m9 Y5 I, m( g w
; L) k2 h0 \, C0 z) E9 BCommunicate and work with all members of the Law & Regulatory Affairs Department by taking a team approach to problems and their solutions, ensuring effective lines of communication exist within the department as well as other departments within EPI. . W0 c' _. _/ h0 z/ T
* U( j* y1 [2 }( q" X/ b9 FAssist in the coding of invoices; expense reporting; time keeping. 9 c5 O/ [7 V& i) T4 j+ C

Organize Documents on E-link; assist with LMS and on-line training materials.

Perform other administrative tasks as requested by the Compliance, Ethics & Privacy Officer (i.e. conduct basic legal research). 7 D# k N$ K5 G# ]

Coordinate and schedule meetings, make hospitality requirements, make travel arrangements and other related duties. $ R3 x8 a5 D0 P, j& w
Qualifications
' n6 F# ?/ }* Y Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion, tact and diplomacy in dealing with senior level internal and external contacts as well as highly confidential and sensitive information.
; J2 V6 {2 R/ ?1 f- F5 g! A8 y; T6 l2 r1 g: B/ d) e9 J
Legal Assistant Diploma and/or a minimum of 3-4 years experience as a legal assistant for senior lawyers on complicated legal matters.
! W2 q8 g9 h; W, P: g4 b3 m$ l9 D) H' D* [5 c! O
The position requires an individual who is able to handle a high workload and provide responses on short timelines.

6 s3 R& T |% _Must be able to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively and have a high degree of common sense and business sense. $ t8 \7 I# J7 _ u9 t7 \) F

Exceptional interpersonal, organization, communication (written and oral) and people skills are required. 0 _: w" r1 r: T' i0 |, Q
w- H2 R* M# tStrong computer skills required (particularly Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, PeopleSoft, Sharepoint, Markview and Livelink) and ability to quickly learn internal information management systems.

Compliance background and/or experience with Learning Management Systems would be of assistance, but not required.
