Albertans worried about the looming spike in natural gas prices could be in for another shock when electricity in Alberta is fully deregulated, says a consumer advocate. : F4 V; e! D; M* K

While natural gas has doubled in price this year, Wachowich said electricity has - if only momentarily - seen spikes of up to 2000%. He said that happens because electricity can't be stored and is always susceptible to price fluctuations.
