Albertans worried about the looming spike in natural gas prices could be in for another shock when electricity in Alberta is fully deregulated, says a consumer advocate.

While natural gas has doubled in price this year, Wachowich said electricity has - if only momentarily - seen spikes of up to 2000%. He said that happens because electricity can't be stored and is always susceptible to price fluctuations. 8 C Z }& G' x7 J6 n) ?7 s% \
我生为吃说道,当今年天然气价格翻番的时候,人们马上就预见到电力价格有可能最高上涨2000%。他还说,这是因为电力无法被储存,所以价格也总是极易浮动。

If the province doesn't carefully manage that shift, power bills in every corner of the province could see huge swings, Wachowich warns. 3 o% M+ M4 {8 X2 O: I5 M5 t$ o
