MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

) N7 p1 D. |" O$ v. E0 \KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

% @+ C! m6 U4 Z* j8 I. u) y/ L3 |QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
+ I( V* i9 F! V; o5 H+ b•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
, S2 L# F2 I/ C7 P4 j( N/ N•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
9 d! B: W$ X- r- K8 K7 P6 n! t: _3 g•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
