SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
" o; @+ U% m* _' O" ^( Xoperation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
' a9 `5 c: S3 g  K6 h0 Nthat the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
  K3 X% c0 V1 `# \; icustomers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
/ ~9 {( j+ [2 W) othe Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
% S  u" O6 a8 s: ~6 F• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
7 D: i" z4 k7 fstock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
- d3 Q" h# _; d5 ?. Y; A% w• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
$ J8 a1 C! t" V. V( T+ l7 |: Q& G• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)
• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
Qualifications
• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and

• Fast paced environment

Physical Requirements
• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
9 N% g3 }1 K$ Y" Q' J• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
; Y9 l: }- H4 h9 C• Standing for extended periods of time
• Comfortable climbing ladders
