Essential Qualifications: excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society; experience facilitating educational sessions using participatory techniques; demonstrated leadership abilities with youth; experience with project coordination; degree or diploma in human services field. Preferred: knowledge of immigrant or Aboriginal culture and/or language; experience with functioning of non-profit society.

Recruit Volunteers – facilitate on-going recruitment of volunteers to participate in the core group of PA; this is done by inviting members of groups who are being presented to, making contact with other youth groups, and by print media, broadcast media, and e-mail invitations.: e+ Z$ X( |9 v% h
$ ?9 q) g& u0 E9 d7 h2 o2 ^Training – facilitate weekly meetings of core group volunteers. Training in participatory techniques, presentation techniques, and knowledge of race-related issues.) `2 E# G' U; r r

E5 ^: Z3 R4 v% y7 COrganize Presentations – advertise presentations through distribution of brochures and posters and by contacting interested groups and schools by phone, email, and mail; take requests for presentations, set up dates, and ensure adequate volunteers are present to facilitate discussion.. ( }7 [! `, y3 V/ C1 i m4 f1 q x' ENetworking – attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate; create/maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations.& }6 k# }: ?+ a% T% F
* W y: z, ], yProfessional Development – be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.3 c# B( j+ F, m

Proposal Creation – with program manager, create proposals to all funders of this project. Ensure criteria for each funder is met in each proposal. Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators. # T% _9 `7 m, J8 R# \: r5 \. s
& _0 U2 d7 O' T3 Z, p& f/ SProject Evaluation & Reports – submit timely monthly, quarterly, annual reports and include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model.
